„Nice Stay at the southern coast“
+Rockside Beach Resort is a paradise in Bentota! Exceptional service, stunning beach views, clean and spacious rooms, and delicious food make every stay unforgettable. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. A perfect getaway for relaxation and comfort. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sri Lanka's southern coast.

„Everything was well organized and professionally managed. Thank you!“
+I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I had a very large bed. The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The location is perfect, right in front of the beach. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. Everything was well organized and professionally managed. Thank you!

+Nice territory, close to the sea, good places to eat around the area
−Dirty pool, price is at high end and does not worth it, lots of mosquitoes, facilities and rooms are in need of well maintenance and cleaning, poor food for the New Year party.

+The beach access and ocean view are the only good things about the hotel.
−Old furniture unclean room unclean towels 1s night there was no water in the bathroom . Called them and they fixed it . 2nd day no hot water in the bathroom it took them over an hour to fix it so we could take a shower. Ac not cooling properly. Pool water is dirty and cloudy very bad experience not worth the money spent.

„Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt mit Freunden hier, super zum entspannen und runterkommen.“
+Der Strand am Hotel ist wunderschön und toll zum entspannen, man kann auch schöne Strandspaziergänge machen oder auf Felsen klettern, falls die Wellen es zu lassen.

„A peaceful beach escape with heart, charm - and a four-legged friend“
+Rockside Beach Resort near Bentota is more than just a beautiful place to stay - it’s a heartfelt experience. With its long stretch of golden sand, unique rocky coastline, and breathtaking sunsets, the scenery alone is unforgettable. But what truly makes this place special is its warmth and soul. Run by a lovely team, the resort has a genuine family atmosphere. You feel welcome from the very first moment - like you’re visiting old friends rather than staying at a hotel. One of the sweetest touches? A little beach dog who has truly become part of the Rockside family. He’s lovingly cared for, always around to greet guests with wagging tail and warm eyes, and adds so much joy and character to the whole experience. The rooms are bright, clean, and just steps from the ocean. The food is homemade, fresh, and full of local flavor. And the sunsets - truly magical. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway that feels personal, peaceful, and full of charm.

„Overpriced and poorly maintained“
+The location of the property is good. However the property as such needs a lot of improvement. The rooms are big, however the air conditioning in the room is not commensurate with the size of the room. The only positive which I noted for the place was its location and proximity to the beach.
−The rooms were not clean, there was some kind of sticky substance on the floor. We were initially shown a room ( which is next to the beach). However this was so small that we felt suffocated. We were planning to check out (even though we paid for whole 2 days), however the staff accommodated us in a different room ( we appreciate this gesture). We decide to stay in the room as room was big enough with balcony overlooking the beach. I would say if properly maintained the property would have been nice. As mentioned above the room was not cool even though AC was running. Clearly a bigger tonnage was needed for the room. The bed blankets were old. The breakfast was pathetic. There were flies around the breakfast area and even on some of the food. The staff barely speaks English and was not able to understand us( however staff was courteous). We checked out after 1 night ( even though we had 2 nights). Someone who looks like the manager asked us the reason for early check out and we mentioned that rooms are not up to the mark. However there was zero response from this person. He just mentioned “ok”. Anyways - as mentioned earlier, if properly maintained, the properly is worth it. Also
