Karoo Dome

O ubytování

Karoo Dome offers a unique glamping experience within the secure Camdeboo Conservancy, a place where time seems to stand still amidst silence, stillness, and space. Nestled beneath the rugged Camdeboo mountains, it is only a 25-minute drive from the charming town of Graaff-Reinet, providing a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquillity and a connection with nature without compromising on comfort. \n \n Located on a holistically managed farm in a 76,000-hectare conservancy, Karoo Dome invites guests to experience a different kind of camping, where the vastness of the semi-desert meets modern amenities. The dome features a king or twin bed, a separate rondavel cooking and dining area, a braai pit with complimentary wood, a rondavel bathroom with a shower, and a tasteful blend of contemporary and antique furniture. The dome also provides a cold water tub, ample parking, and a well-equipped kitchen area, excluding an oven and toaster. \n \n Guests will find the conservancy secure, with entry by appointment only. Please remember to bring all provisions from Graaff-Reinet, as there are no nearby shops. While Karoo Dome is closed during the hottest summer months, it remains an ideal destination for those seeking to unwind in a pristine, unspoiled environment. \n \n Graaff-Reinet, the fourth oldest town in South Africa, offers a variety of historical attractions, charming shops, and restaurants, providing a delightful complement to your stay in the breathtaking Camdeboo Conservancy.
