„Beautiful, green resort and pool looking over the sea“
+The resort is very well set up and looked after. Our little bungalow was very cute, especially when the sun shone through the coloured glass window, and kept very clean. There were a few cute, chubby cats that lived around the resort. It was brilliant having the pool in the resort, which has a beautiful setting looking over the sea, especially as the weather was not so fantastic during our stay which limited our sea based activities. The bar at the front of the resort, by the beach, was a very nice and relaxed vibe. The barman was cheerful, funny and the couple of times we had cocktails there they were delicious 😋. The massage parlour on the resort was also good and I ended up having two (as I enjoyed the first so much) massages during our stay. The prices were equivalent to those outside of the resort. The staff were all polite and the reception staff were helpful, calling to check our transport to the pier for our ferry when leaving and helping with a refund on a planned trip (see below). Thank you for our stay 😊
−We found that the location was not ideal for us, when the weather was not so good. The beach immediately in front has fairly rough sea (this may be different in high season) and is very rocky, so it is not really possible to swim here. There is not so much to do directly in this area, so as we cannot ride motorcycles we were a bit limited because the tuk tuk / taxi transport around the island was comparatively high compared to other places we have been. I think it is a bit more suited to if you have your own transport, to go out and explore freely, or are looking for a lovely resort to relax in. We were also a bit unhappy with the snorkeling tour staff helped book us on to. This seemed to be run by a different provider (Opal Travel) than the one advertised (Tin Adventures) and the boat was crowded. We were told it would be cancelled if conditions did not go ahead but it went ahead in rough seas. This led to a lot of people being sick and boat staff suggesting we return to pier after we had driven an hour to the first site. Not necessarily the hotel's fault the trip provider made this decision but I would maybe look around at trips. Staff were brilliant and helpful afterwards though
