«Very nice hotel»
+Beautiful hotel reception staff were amazing , bar staff couldnt be more helpful , room was clean little wear can be seen but hotels its normal , such a good night sleep , room wasn't to hot or cold was perfect . The building is exceptionally well kept for its age and history is amazing to see .
−Breakfast was cold , sausages were awful and coffee was like very cheep stuff . Scrambled eggs and pancakes were really nice . The staff we encountered at breakfast time could do with giving you information on how it worked like please help yourself to the breakfast buffet all self service, we had to ask what to do and where it was all situated .

«Comfortable Stay»
+Friendly, helpful staff. Nice large room. Comfy bed. Plenty of parking.
−No socket near bed for phone charging. Very hot room. Shower curtains should be banned - they annoyingly stick to you. You need screens!

+The hotel is in a beautiful setting and conveniently situated. It’s a fabulous old house that has been well maintained. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. I’d like to thank Alex in particular who looked after my husband and I with kindness.

+This has an old timey air about it. Pretty building and foyer. Nice area a bit out of the way of all the hustle and bustle.
−In my opinion, there’s no way this could pass for a 4 star property. Everything’s a bit outdated, my room had chipped wood and cobwebs/slight dust. The bathroom little stains from the soap dripping. There’s no extra touches like my tea was not replenished etc. it’s quite hard to find especially in the dark and on foot. The staff was nice but not really out of the way welcoming.

«The hotel location and facilities we enjoyed, the food menus and prices let the hotel down.»
+The location was good, the hotel is in a lovely spot.
−The full english breakfast was aweful, every element was cold to eat, it wasn't pleasant. The rest of the breakfast elements were fine. The breakfast is horribly over priced. The restaurant eveing menu is sparten not much selection and too much al a carte a normal non over seasoned selection would have been better. Far too expensive, we didn't dine on our 2nd night there.

«Why so cold like the weather.»
+It's near where we need to go, and they have parking.
−The staff aren't warm or welcoming. They just look at you and not even smile. No response with a thank you. For the amount of money, they didn't provide much bathroom amenities, just an all-in-one bottle of shampoo and body wash, small bottle of lotion. No complimentary bottle of water inside the room. Breakfast was okay but the dining area/ restaurant is cold and the table was sticky. The ambiance overall is like dead.
