+The location was awesome, I am elderly, just getting over a hip replacement and everything was within reach, Eureka skydeck, the waterfront, restaurants, the Trams. The Hotel Breakfast was the best ever. The staff were excellent. And child friendly, my granddaughter had a wonderful time.
−The spa has a very big step drop into it and only one rail to hold. Not recommened for someone who has recently had a hip replacement.

«not great for the high cost»
+The room was large and comfortable although the furniture is aged and worn out. no hooks to hang a towel near the shower but had 2 x toilet roll holders?? Great coffee machine !! Good size TV
−The pillows were uncomfortable and AC did not cool down the room even though it was a cold and wet day in Melbourne The middle of the bed was very pronounced from the joined king singles Stayed on Level 11 and the corridors have a musty / wet smell no music channel on TV menu and no speaker in the room to connect a phone.

+We dropped our bags off and checked into the hotel around 10.00am and then headed into the city as our room was not available. We recieved a call around 12-1.00 that our room was now ready and we headed back to the hotel. We were told our bags would be right up. We waited around an hour for our bags, before i called reception. It took another 2 hours to find our bags as they had been misplaced. Beside adding to the agnst that we had to be at a wake at 6.00pm in Hawthorn, we were unable to use the facilities as we did not have our clothes, swimmers, etc. As a result, we decided to eat at an external resturant for the evening after the wake and then left earlier in the morning to get to the airport. We really used the hotel as a bed for the night.
−inability to use any facilities and lost baggage for many hours

«I'll be back.»
+The location, pool facilities and buffet breakfast are the best part about this hotel.
−The rooms are very comfortable but a little dated based on the period style of the hotel.

«Always a lovely stay»
+The pillows and the view
−That after our evening out - which was a concert and not late - the bar area was not taking guests as they were closing - many guests were trying to come in and just order a drink and then head upstairs.

−It didn’t just feel just like a hotel couldn’t tell you why other than it felt more homely and welcoming. Really enjoyed our short stay. Definitely will come back.
