+A Magical Stay at Riverroots Riverroots is not just a stay, it's an experience you will never forget.From the moment we arrived, our host Karun made us feel like family.He took care of everything and made sure we were comfortable throughout. The highlight was the sunrise boating - watching the sun rise over the calm river.And the kayaking was so much fun!The river views from the property are breathtaking.And the home food -So delicious, fresh and made with so much love. Every meal felt like a feast, authentic Kerala flavours.If you are looking for peace, nature, adventure and amazing hospitality, Riverroots is the place. Thank you Karun for creating such a beautiful place and for such wonderful memories. We will definitely be back! Highly, highly recommended!

+J’ai adoré l’emplacement de cet homestay .notre hôte Karun est un jeune homme très enthousiaste et plein d’énergie, qui nous a organisé notre balade dans les backwaters, la cuisine de sa maman est excellente. De plus il est entrain de mettre en place 2 autres chambres plus confortables que la nôtre. Je recommande cet établissement.

«Amazing property, incredible family and beautiful location»
+The property is lovely and the family who runs it is absolutely fabulous. They were undergoing some renovations so they will have new rooms and facilities for the end of 2026 and the love and care of the famly is out of this world. Don't miss the food!! Make sure you grab dinner as it's beyond yummy!!

«A Wonderful Stay»
+We had a wonderful stay at Riverroots.Although we stayed for only one night, we truly wished we could have stayed longer. Karun were very kind, friendly, and welcoming. The hospitality was exceptional, and we received a very warm welcome from the host.They made us feel at home and took great care of us throughout our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well- maintained. Everything was arranged perfectly for a relaxing stay.The peaceful backwater surroundings made our stay truly relaxing. One of the highlights of our visit was the beautiful kayak trip through the backwaters. It was a peaceful and unforgettable experience. If you are visiting Munroe Island and looking for a calm, clean, and authentic Kerala village experience with friendly hosts, Riverroots is the perfect choice.We would definitely love to come back again!

+Karun looked after us like gods with the best service we’ve had all over India. The stay was comfortable with great dinner and breakfast. A shame we could only stay one night as any opportunity would bring us right back 🤩⚡️🤙

«Best to visit during tourist season, in the later part of the year.»
+The staff was helpful and really interractive . He was warm and welcoming and it was the best part of the stay. Bathrooms were clean. It had most basic amenities like soap , working fans and AC. The guide helped us explore around and we are grateful for that.
−The kitchen had no setup for making food etc and cleanliness of the kitchen area could have been improved. No dishwashing soap etc. The dinner order is limited and is to be placed by mid afternoon. Overall we felt cleanliness of the place should increase more.
