«Good location with parking»
+The location was good for where I needed to travel to the next day, parking was free included in the booking, staffs were nice.
−The bathroom had a mouldy smell and there were moulds in the shower and limescale in the sink.

«Absolutely horrible»
−Absolutely filthy, body fluids on bedding in 2 different rooms, pubic hairs everywhere, beds looked slept in, and by the state of the rooms they haven’t been cleaned in months after some long stays there. The picture with the grey bed sheet shows what I can only think is urine stains all over the bed , and this was the second room after we rejected the first one which was just as dirty. Some pictures of the first room also included. Owner blamed new housekeeper and was so apologetic. Told him we cannot stay in those conditions as he tried offering a 3rd room , as it became obvious that’s the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel , and I’ve asked for refund. He assured me that was not going to be an issue and we left and booked a different hotel for the night. He then lied and sis not refund us after I’ve patiently waited 2 weeks . Too bad I cannot add videos here too to see the state of everything

«“Unacceptable hygiene standards, stained bedding and a disappointing response to my complaint.”»
+Extremely disappointing experience - unacceptable cleanliness and refused refund I booked the Old Ridgeway Hotel for one night while working in London, but unfortunately, my experience was absolutely awful. Within minutes of checking in, I noticed an unpleasant smell coming from the pillows. When I removed the pillowcases, I was shocked to discover extensive yellow/orange staining across several pillows. I then checked the mattress and discovered staining on that too. I have attached photographs so people can see exactly what I found. I suffer from severe OCD and anxiety, and finding bedding in this condition really triggered my anxiety. I felt physically uncomfortable and couldn’t bring myself to sleep there. I immediately reported everything to reception and showed the staff member the photographs. He offered another room, but I explained that I’d completely lost confidence in the hotel’s hygiene standards and no longer felt comfortable staying anywhere in the property. I checked out without staying overnight and had to book and pay for another hotel at my own expense.
−What disappoints me most is that the hotel has since refused to authorise a refund, despite me reporting the issues immediately, providing photographic evidence and not staying the night. I travel regularly for work and stay in hotels throughout the UK. I’ve never expected luxury, especially from budget accommodation, but I do expect a basic standard of cleanliness. I’m genuinely shocked that a hotel can consider this acceptable and still expect a guest to pay for a room they felt unable to use. Very disappointing experience, both in terms of cleanliness and how my complaint has been handled. I would not personally stay here again.

+Extremely Disappointing - Misleading Advertising and Dishonest Response to Our Complaint Our experience at the Old Ridgeway Hotel was extremely disappointing, and the accommodation was nothing like what was advertised on Booking.com. We booked a double room, only to find a very small room with the bed pushed against the wall, making it impossible to walk around both sides. The bedding looked as though someone had already slept in it, and despite a flat-screen TV being advertised, there was no television in the room. To make matters worse, there was no bathroom within the room. We had to walk across the hallway to use the facilities, which was particularly inconvenient during the night. What I find most unacceptable is the hotel’s dishonesty when Booking.com investigated our complaint. When we originally raised our concerns with the manager, he apologised and explained that the hotel was fully booked, otherwise he would have moved us to another room. He even gave us his business card with his telephone number and specifically told us to contact him via WhatsApp so that he could arrange a refund. However, when Booking.com subsequently contacted the hotel to investigate our complaint,
