There were small men’s hairs all over the sink and on the towels. There was no hand wash liquid provided, and the bed looked like it hadn’t even been changed after the previous guest. It honestly felt dirty and completely unacceptable. The ironing board had a hole in it, and every time the people next door used their bathroom, the sound of running water was loud and intrusive in my room. It made it impossible to relax. I went down to reception to report the matter. To be fair, the receptionist was polite and seemed to want to help, but she clearly didn’t have the authority or means to do anything. She told me the hotel was fully booked and that the person who handles these matters wouldn’t be in until the next morning. So I was left with no solution. At that point, I decided I couldn’t stay there any longer. As I was leaving to find another hotel, the restaurant manager made a dismissive comment: “Sorry it wasn’t up to your standards.” That really frustrated me. This isn’t about “standards” , it’s about basic hygiene, which this hotel comp
