«Cozy and old world feel, with the best modern day aminities like good air conditioning.»
+The atmosphere was very cute! It was like being transported into an old fashioned hotel from a movie, in the best way. It was very clean and for being an old building, the air conditioner was WORKING.
−There were only a few minor things that we didn't like, the seat of the toilet was wobbly and the curtain hanging from the window was difficult to close. The ceilings were very high so that likely was just a situational flaw.

«Take a break from the chains, come enjoy a blast from the past at the quaint little hotel!»
+Hotel is nostalgic with a lot of southern flair and reminds you of the past. Big change from the chain hotels. It is also very close to a local restaurant called Steamboat Warehouse where they serve great cajun dishes. Their bar and restaurant were closed when we stayed, it is open on weekends. The pool was small but perfect, with ample seating and a good place to have a drink and wind down.
−We loved staying here. It is still being updated and a few things are getting gussied up as the owner keeps putting in money and time to make it even better. You can tell this is a project of love. Don't expect perfection, but the rooms are spotless and you just feel at home.

«Very attentive host and a good night’s rest can always be had at this charming hotel!»
+The history of the building is intertwined with the storied history of Washington. The well preserved interior and exterior tell a story of the many people who have lived and visited there. Despite the genuine antiquity the rooms are furnished with comfortable furniture and modern conveniences.
−Some exterior preservation like shutters need attention. Noise from automobile traffic is occasionally loud but can’t be helped due to the authentic location.

+My husband and I had a lovely stay at Hotel Klaus. The host was so accommodating. He let us borrow his charger which we had forgotten to pack thankfully. The ambiance of the hotel was so inviting and peaceful. Beautifully decorated and within walking distance of the famous Steamboat Warehouse restaurant. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway I would suggest this lovely hotel.

+Enjoyed our stay in this boutique hotel. Walked to the Steamboat Warehouse restaurant and had a delicious dinner. Had good conversations with other guests in the lobby. We were driving through from Amarillo to Pensacola and found this on Expedia.
