«I would definitely go and stay here if I visit Sri Lanka again in this locality.»
+I absolutely love the host's hospitality. Mahinder hosted me, and he was such a lovely person. I felt so much at home. Even the way he prepared breakfast was so lovely. The place is also beautiful, clean, and silent, perfect for a silent retreat at an economic price.
−There weren't many shops in and around, so there isn't much nightlife nearby. You will have to travel about 15 minutes to go to the nearest market. But it's super close to the Heritance Hotel Kandalama. So if you want to travel there, this will be the closest hotel to stay super cheap and still have a daytime experience at the amazing Heritance 5-star hotel.

«A peacefull stay with the amazing Mahinde and the best homemade food»
+10 out of 10, that is a no brainer. From the room, to the peacefull garden, to the delicious food and at last the most humble and kind huming being ‘Mahinde’. The room is very clean and comfortable. Plus it has a nice balcony with beautiful view. Their is a big garden where you can find your own chill spots. Mahinde is so helpfull and relax. I enjoyed fhe many conversations we had and he has been really helpfull in finding suitable activity’s, because I had already done most of the tourist attractions nearby. He drove me to all of them, nothing was too much for him. His wife is one of the best Sri Lankan cooks I have experienced during my 6 months here, all the food was perfectly balanced! I woud defintely come back

«Mehinda, thank you so much for having us, and we hope to see you again soon.»
+Mehinda is a very nice host, and a very nice person. He does everything he can to help you with anything and he gave us great recommendations about what to visit. He cooked breakfast for us, that was delicious. His respect and love for nature and his land is genuinely wonderful. He shared his love of Sri Lanka, Kandalama, Buddhism and Nature with us and we were deeply touched by his hospitality.

«Friendly forest retreat.»
+Away from the town and close to Kandelama lake, this little resort of few rooms is situated in a beautiful forest garden. The room itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and I had a balcony too. Best of all was meeting, and being looked after, by Mahindra, who arranged dinner in the glowing forest, and a hearty breakfast. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. A strong recommendation!
