«Very small room but other aspects compensated.»
+Good location, nice bar and restaurant. Staff were really friendly. Was not happy with room which did not reflect what I saw on Booking but this was rectified with free breakfast to compensate. Breakfast was lovely.
−Room was tiny. Although I was only staying for 2 nights I was then moving elsewhere for a further 5 and there was just no storage space. The description and photos on Booking.com weren’t of my room. 4pm check in wasn’t great. I knew this would be the case but thought I would be able to leave my luggage.

«Fair price, clean , food service, work on the breakfast»
+Clean, friendly staff.
−Full English breakfast could have been a bit ‘fuller’ so to speak :) Only one slice of toast offered when served whereas most other hotels etc would’ve served a rack or similar ie more toast . Extra sausage needed and the bacon was overdone / dry unfortunately.

«Disappointing and unsafe»
+Room 6 was good, Ensuite shower rooms were good. Waitresses at evening meal and breakfast were pleasant and helpful. Evening meal was good.
−I booked two single rooms with ensuite; room 3 and room 6 at the same price £85 each for one night with breakfast- room 6 was fine but room 3 was poor. Room 3 had a bed with no headboard and positioned in the room with the pillow end against the window which would be v uncomfortable to lean on and yet there was no chair in the room. The window itself opened onto a ‘terrace’ used as a smoking and communal sitting area which is a potential source of noise and smoke coming into the room, there are also two large extractor fans opposite the window. When I went and asked to change this room I was told there were no other singles so I suggested splitting the cost to switch to a double but was told no because I had booked through booking.com! Eventually the receptionist agreed to put a sign on the terrace saying out of use which she did. What was of concern though was signs in the rooms said ‘no smoking inside’ and to use the smoking terrace or outside the back exit instead. When checking the escape routes it became clear that this back exit was permanently propped open which is a security risk for those staying AND given this is the only exit after hours for all rooms with this stairway

+Comfortable bed and nice and clean, having restaurant available downstairs for food was a bonus for us.
−Room was a bit small and it was noisy outside until.tne early hours, however it was Saturday night so perhaps to be expected

«Comfortable but no official parking.»
+The room was clean and the bed comfy. The staff were slow to welcome us but it was busy in the restaurant to be fair to them. We did have some issues with parking, it should not be listed that parking is available there as you have to pay for a public car park which is a few minutes walk away - we arrived late with heavy luggage which made this a challenge. If you need close parking, have mobility or accessibility needs, I don't recommend it. The location was good, in the centre of town,
−No parking available on-site. Public car park nearby but is not reimbursed by the foundry. It felt misleading that the property had listed it on their Booking.com page.
