«Midweek stay in Exeter»
+The convenience of parking, ease of accessing the building and upper floors. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable.
−Be good if there was a small fridge in the room and a telephone maybe. Other than that all good.

«Just found my new stopoff hotel for Exeter.»
+Right at Exeter Central. Large ensuite with bath. Roomy for a single. The tea tray is solid, to take off to be able to work at the desk. Checkout is noon - excellent!
−The bed is the old spring type, which bothers my hips. But aside from that, the room was perfect.

«OK. Comfortable but not the cleanest.»
+Location was great and the rooms were big. The bed was comfortable and the member of staff was friendly and helpful.
−The bed had hairs in it and there was only a double duvet on the king size bed. The receptionist brought up another single duvet though when we asked for one. The sink was blocked, the toilet had things floating in it that wouldn’t flush, there were toothpaste splatters on the wall in the bathroom and one of the glasses in the bathroom had toothpaste in it.

«Won’t be returning.»
+Its location
−Reception staff were rude. I went in at 1230, just before check in and asked if it was ok to leave my car in the carpark. I had an extremely rude response and dismissive comments. I then asked if I could use the loo, she pointed where they were but I misunderstood the direction, then when I was out of ear shot, rolled her eyes and said “some people just don’t listen”, not realising my husband was in the lobby. I had to take cocodomal to fix my back from the horrendous bed and the breakfast was undercooked and cold. The lovely girl at breakfast was doing her best but had no support. Upon speaking to other guests, they had a similar experience but their room was dirty, ours wasn’t.

+Location Friendly staff Onsite carpark
−Having to pay for my food and drink in the bar each time instead of charging it to my room, which is what I would expect from a hotel of this standing
