«Not 4 star»
+Just returned from a 7 night stay at sungate hotel where we were charged €70 on arrival for the tourist tax. We were aware of the tourist tax but only expected to pay €21 euro as advised by Hotels.com when we made the booked. When we queried the cost with the receptionist the following moring (we arrived very late in the evening and just wanted to get to the room) she stated, in a very quiet patronising voice "we are 4 star hotel and the fee is €10 per night. I showed her a screen shot i had taken regarding corfu tourist tax and she told me that was incorrect and in the same quiet voice told me we are 4 star hotel. We had to accept her word on this as there was no official star rating outside the hotel. This post is more to make people aware of the extra costs when they arrive. This hotel is in no way a 4 star hotel!!!! Yes there were enough beds by the pool and they were comfortable but the tiles around the pool are broken and a danger The bathroom was something else..... I've been to sidari previously so kind of knew what to expect but the shower curtain (which was held up by cable) was 2 inches to short which meant the room was absolutely soaking after every shower, and the smel

+The beds was extremely hard, but they took care of the problem with a soft topmadras. This is actually unusually for a hotel to offer. The wifi didn’t work the whole week we were there, but the staff, the surroundings and the good food made up for this. Lovely place!

«Mejorable 100%»
