+L'emplacement adapte a la visite de la ville car proche de nos centres d'interet .Chambre petite mais propre .Possibilité de se restaurer sur place .
−Chambre en sous sol , claustrophobe s'abstenir . Piece bruyante mais l'hotel l'avait signalé en toute transparence. Le roof top n'est pas accessible le matin

«Eine positive Überraschung. Preis/Leistung wirklich gut.»
+Das Zimmer ist klein, aber sauber. Wir hatten eines im Untergeschoß ohne Ausblick. Die Klimaanlage war sehr leise, nur hörte man - aber sehr selten - Leute draußen auf der Straße beim Vorbeigehen, wenn diese etwas lauter waren. Das Personal an der Rezeption war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit! Das Hotel ist in sehr guter Lage, 10-15 Gehminuten entfernt (im Norden) vom Lincoln Memorial. Auch diverse Restaurants sind in rund 10-20 Gehminuten erreichbar. Im Hotel haben wir nicht gegessen, jedoch positiv bemerkt, dass die Möglichkeit für ein Frühstück und Abendessen vorhanden gewesen wäre. Eine Metro-Station ist in der Nähe, die wir allerdings nicht genutzt haben. Das Parkhaus im Columbia Plaza ist gleich gegenüber, rund 5 Gehminuten (aber über drei Zebrastreifen) vom Hotel. Um dort wieder hineinzukommen muss man unter Umständen einmal um den Block gehen, denn in den Lift ins Parkhaus kommt man nur wieder hinein, wenn zufällig jemand herauskommt. Beim Hotel erhält man für das Parkhaus ein Ticket für einen günstigeren Tarif, es ist also empfehlenswert, zuerst zu Parken und gleich mit den Koffern zum Hotel zu kommen. Bei der Ausfahrt erfolgt die Zahlung per Kreditkarte direkt beim Ausf
−Die Zimmer (zumindest jenes, das wir im Untergeschoß bekamen) sind wirklich klein, aber das halte ich gerne aus, wenn alles sauber ist und auch sonst alles passt - außerdem war der Preis im Vergleich mit anderen Hotels im günstigeren Bereich.

«Great location and value. We would recommend.»
+The location was excellent. Safe neighborhood. Close to lots of eatery options. Parking was convenient and great value considering what a lot of the other hotels offer. Complimentary morning coffee/tea was a plus.
−Although eventually effective, the breakfast service could have used another person. One person taking orders, serving, making drinks and attending to coffee/tea service is not ideal for the morning crowd especially when you have a tight schedule. I was surprised the Hotel does not recycle. With that, our breakfast was brought to us in plastic containers instead of the steel trays, when we asked we were told because none were cleaned!?!? Which goes back to my first paragraph. Water was poured in pretty big plastic cups which we didn’t even drink. Perhaps ask first if water is wanted. More tea bag variety, Earl Gray is not for everybody.

+The vibe of the hotel
−The location - I had understood from reviews that the hotel was easy walking distance to most of the sights, and whilst it was only around 15 min walk to the Lincoln memorial, it was a long walk to anywhere else. There were also no pubs or restaurants near to the hotel, so it felt a bit out on a limb

«Comfortable for a short stay»
+Staff were great - bed was comfortable - free coffee downstairs each morning - location good for our trip - People at desk and bar very good
−Very micro - says it on their website but I was not prepared for how micro - can’t really use the basin as it is so small and in a tight spot - By the time 2 suitcases are laid out / you can’t use the bench or floor space for anything else Not a deal breaker but there was no discount at bar or rooftop and the Website for the bar says there is happy hour but there is no happy hour available

+Comfortable bed, nice shower. Excellent service from friendly staff. Close walk to cozy restaurants and cafés as well as to the Mall mile with all the big sites.

«Hobby hotel»
+The staff was lovely. Warm, friendly and helpful. The location is excellent...a few blocks from the Lincoln Memorial end of the national mall, near George Washington University and a number of good places to eat. Easy metro access.
−This should be listed in a separate category like a hobbyist hotel. The rooms are very small although I was told when we checked out you could call ahead and ask for a larger room. This felt like a capsule hotel you could stand up in. Reminded my husband of his days in the submarine and me of our times riding in 2nd class sleeper cars in Europe. The room is a bed. There is nowhere to sit except the bed. No place to put your suitcase except on the bed. Nowhere to put clothes so you end up living out of your suitcase. Had to crawl over partner to get to bathroom from the bed. The bathroom sink is one of those quarter sized sinks you see in trains. The shower however was a generous size. Needless to say, this is the perfect hotel not to spend any time in your room. But, it was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was nice. The location good.
