+Van het moment dat we hebben ingecheckt tot bij het verlaten, heeft het appartement, ons bevallen. Parking voor de deur. Proper en aangenaam op 100m van de franse grens. Een aanrader

+La personne responsable a pris les devant pour me contacter. Elle était claire, professionnelle, mais chaleureuse. Le logement est très agréable, et très propre.

+Our host met us on site and showed how everything worked. The location suited us. Our host was also extremely prompt when some maintenance was required.
−The apartment is on the 2nd floor and has quite a steep stairway leading up to it. However there is a lift to the 1st floor.

«A workable location for a young couple with a car.»
+A difficult property to "rate" as it has a number of positive points but some negative ones depending upon the customers own circumstances. It had a clean, modern, spacious living area, a large TV and a large dry garage where I could park my bicycle (I was there for the Flanders Classics).
−Being "up in the roof" it was a long climb to the front door (the lift to the first floor helped) and it had a difficult staircase to the bedroom area which younger people might find straightforward - but we are in our seventies. Not suitable for very young children but a nice space for a couple to relax in. A lack of curtains on most windows made the room very light at night (until the street lights went out) and in the early morning. The property is very central to Comines so the parking was not always straightforward but we made it work. Overall we feel the negatives were accomodated in the price we paid.

−The place was very dirty. Dirty kitchen appliances, dirty pillows, and duvets. We had to ask the host for new pillows or it would be impossible to sleep there.

+A special location in Comines, a small French-Belgian border town, with the bridge between Belgium and France right in the middle of town. You wake up on the Belgian side and when you go to buy breakfast you walk over to the supermarket in France! Great location for exploring the Flanders on both sides of the border and/or visiting beautiful cities such as Lille and Kortrijk. A comfortable apartment with a nice loft and a kitchen with all the amenities for preparing your own food. Free parking in the street and restaurants within short walking distance.
−There was a problem with electricity in the kitchen area, but this was a minor issue with the host could solve. A curtain in the living room area would have been helpful during the period of the morning when the sun shone right on the TV and the breakfast table - also a minor issue. In general the apartment fitted our needs and we really liked staying there.
