“Ma note est de 100/10. Je recommande plus que vivement”
+Cela a déjà été dit dans les commentaires des clients précédents mais nous confirmons, cet hôtel est remarquable, d’autant plus que nous avons eu la chance d’être les seuls clients lorsque nous y étions donc finalement avons profité de la villa rien que pour nous. Tout est très beau, propre, piscine à débordement avec vue sur l’océan absolument magnifique. Chambre et salle de bain, très belles, très grandes. Le personnel est remarquable de gentillesse et de disponibilité. Le restaurant est très agréable. Le manager , Bagus, est toujours là pour faire en sorte que tout se passe au mieux. D’autres part nous avons profité de leur service de Guide et Chauffeur privés pendant trois jours. Très agréable également. Je recommande plus que vivement. Cet hôtel restera l’un de nos meilleurs souvenir de notre long périple en Indonésie.

“Beautiful, local-owned and run villa with incredible views”
+We had a wonderful stay at Umarato Villa earlier this month. The villa itself is simply beautiful. It was well thought out, comfortable and had all the facilities you would need. Staff were always on hand with a smile, and made the experience feel personal and intimate. We also found the restaurant exceptional, with the menu showcasing a number of delicious Indonesian (and Western) options. There was a good amount of things to see for a three night stay here, we rented a scooter from Umarato (as a confident driver - the area is remote and not ‘easy’ not navigate) but the villa has options for tours if preferred. The owner of the villa Edward, a Sumbanese local, has clearly put a lot of soul into building this villa and the community it has created (including the nearby school which you could volunteer at). For a sustainable and conscious/community focussed stay, we would choose this property every time.

“An unforgetable stay in a wonderful place.”
+Our stay at Umarato was simply incredible. The villa was absolutely beautiful, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable , a true haven of peace surrounded by the incredible nature of Sumba. The location is wonderful, the food is excellent, and the level of service was perfect from beginning to end. What made this experience truly unforgettable, however, was the people. A very special thank you to Bagus, the manager, whose philosophy of both work and life genuinely left an impression on us. His dedication, kindness and way of taking care of his guests are remarkable. The same goes for the entire team, all of whom are from Sumba. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay as special as possible. Unfortunately, I had an accident during our stay and had to be hospitalized. The whole team did absolutely everything they could to help us and make a difficult situation easier. Bagus even came personally to the hospital to support us and make sure everything was going well. This is something we will never forget. Despite what happened, we leave Sumba and Umarato with incredibly beautiful memories, largely thanks to them. +The service was excellent. The villa sea view is absolutely to die for, it is an oasis and everything was a phone call away.
−Not much, Sumba is a hidden gem so expect long distance drives from everything.

“Eine echter Juwel mitten im paradiesischen Süd-Westen Sumbas. ♥️”
+Die Umarato Villa ist ein echter Juwel. Die Aussicht vom Pool auf die Bucht und das Meer ist atemberaubend, auch nachts ist es mit dem Mond und dem Sternenhimmel einfach einzigartig. Das Wanokaka-Zimmer ist sehr gemütlich und super ausgestattet. Die Gemeinschaftsräume sind ebenso sehr sauber und stets ordentlich und aufgeräumt. Die Küche und die Waschmaschine sind zusätzlich ein sehr guter Service, den man nutzen kann. Das Frühstück ist super lecker und kann auch sehr entspannt direkt in der Unterkunft an einen Tisch am Pool genossen werden, zudem ist das Restaurant fabelhaft. Jetzt zum wichtigsten Punkt, das gesamte Personal vom Housekeeping, über Fahrer, Tourguide, Küchenpersonal, Servicepersonal, Security & Management sind einfach spitze. Sie waren so höflich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Dadurch wurde unser Aufenthalt regelrecht versüßt. Zudem konnten wir auch den Besitzer antreffen und uns mit ihm über sein Projekt unterhalten. Die von ihm gegründete weiterführende Schule für die Kinder der Umgebung hat uns wirklich beeindruckt. So hat die lokale Bevölkerung einen zusätzlichen Benefit vom aufkommenden Tourismus. Wir hoffen die Entwicklung des Tourismus verläuft in Einklang mit
−Lediglich die Schirme am Pool könnten erneuert werden und im Zweifel noch 2-3 weitere Pool-Liegen angeschafft werde. Zudem waren teilweise nicht 100% der aufgeführten Getränke und Speisen von der Karte verfügbar, dies ist jedoch der abgelegenen Lage der Unterkunft und der schwierigen Anlieferung aufgrund der gesamten Infrastruktur der Insel geschuldet, das gesamte Team war jedoch immer sehr bemüht alles so perfekt wie möglich zu gestalten und anbieten zu können. 🙏 Somit sind das tatsächlich keine wirklichen Kritikpunkte, sondern nur kleine Randnotizen.

“We cannot recommend a better place to stay when visiting Sumba.”
+Our stay at Umarato Villa was a truly unique experience and one of the highlights of our visit to Sumba. The views are simply breathtaking, and the staff provide a level of service and attention to detail comparable to the finest luxury resorts. The food is outstanding, and the flexibility and care they offer each guest are unmatched. Breakfast at sunrise is an absolute must and one of the most memorable experiences of our stay. We cannot recommend a better place to stay when visiting Sumba. A special thank you to Andy, Bryant, and the entire team for making our stay so unforgettable.

“Fantastisch!”
+Het resort ligt op een heuvel en vanuit het zwembad overzie je de schoonheid van Sumba. Het is een ideaal resort om onder begeleiding kennis te maken met de cultuur en natuurpracht van het eiland. Het resort is kleinschalig en kenmerkt zich door de persoonlijke, klantgerichte houding van het team. Voor we het wisten, voelden we ons onderdeel van de familie. Bagus is de manager van het resort en draagt met veel zorg en aandacht verantwoordelijkheid voor het team en de gasten. Hij is een echte gentleman die ervoor zorgt dat het iedereen aan niets ontbreekt. Wij hebben genoten van een onvergetelijk mooie tijd.
−Het uitzicht is adembenemend mooi. Het personeel en de geboden service was niet te vergeten mooie ervaring
