“A good one night stop in a lovely location!”
+Lovely location!
−Restaurant was a bit hit and miss. Food was below average! Don't have the burger!

“Beautiful views”
+Stunning location, great views from the room. Delicious dinner and friendly staff
−The hotel was being refurbished (would have been good to have been told), the room decor was very old fashioned, wallpaper falling off. The room had two dead flies on the windowsill and I found a hair in the sink.

+Very helpful friendly staff, a delightful atmosphere and beautiful views of the Loch and Shieldaig island from the dining room and comfy sitting room
−Watch out for the towel rail - very very hot!

“Wouldn’t recommend it and we won’t be going back. Sad the owners probably not reading these comments- they should!”
+Location
−Staff not friendly. Banter from kitchen was loud so they can be friendly and laugh- just not for clients. Rooms far too small. No room for suitcase. Bathrooms need upgrades . Noise from cabins out back

“Well worth it!”
+A beautiful surprise, location is so picturesque , the rooms quaint, beautiful and super comfy. Outlooks straight to the water was magic
−No TV in room and navigating stairs with luggage a bit challenging

“This hotel needs some improvement to justify the price”
+The hotel is in an exceptional location, we’ve stayed here several times over the years but the standard of service has slipped. Still high end prices but tired rooms, restaurant was exceptionally cold and the food average. In the past this was a great place to stay but the standard has definitely dropped. Staff were fantastic so it’s clearly a management problem
−Cold, tired rooms, average food

“Stunning little town on the NC500, with a visit. Friendly staff and great dinner. Would come back again”
+Dinner was amazing, evening pub and restaurant staff were incredible. There were some issues at check in but the staff on duty handled it extremely well.
−Breakfast could do with some improvements and the music that was played at breakfast was a little extreme for that time in the morning, bed mattress need to be replaced.

“Really poor for 2026. Recognise it’s hard to find anywhere in the vicinity, but try very hard!”
+Location only
−Everything. Like a B and B from Blackpool 50 years ago. No TV, rubbish internet, shower that trickles and carpets from, oh dear..,
