+Clean and tidy room, with decorated and modern furnishings.
−No staff at reception past 4pm. Contacting the number at reception for a 'non-emergency issue' could incur a fee. Bizarre for a hotel at this price point not to have someone at reception for at least 12 hours of the day. Radiator in the room didnt work, window was very drafty and we had to plug it with towels. Did not contact reception about this issue as we stayed for 1 night and were discouraged by the fee that could be charged for a 'non emergency'. Parking fee seems expensive when there's c.10 spaces for 10 rooms. Why not offer free parking for guests?

“Ok but probably won't stay there again.”
+Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was very pleasant and helpful.
−Not as clean as we were hoping. Carpet dirty and stained and not sure if the duvet cover had been changed as it was slightly marked on the inside. Could not gain access to hotel when we arrived as it was all locked up just after 4pm. We did not have access to internet so had to ask for help from another hotel owner down tbe street. He communicated with our hotel owner.

“Pleasant hotel and staff, but soured by dreadful customer relations”
+Good breakfast, comfortable bed
−Everything that happened after we left. We had to cut our stay short due to a medical emergency. Two staff members, Zak and the Deputy Manager, Sharon, who were both excellent and understanding. I was advised that a refund could be arranged but that the owner would decide and get in touch with me. Despite two reminders no response came, even though I was assured the owner had rad the emails and promised to contact me. Never happened, dreadful customer relations.

“Great Location & Lovely Staff”
+Great location, friendly helpful staff, room was beautifully decorated with lovely soft furnishings. Facilities to make a cup of coffee/tea in the room. Fresh milk & water available downstairs, plus more towels if needed.
−The noise from the main road which never stops throughout the night. The windows, which are probably the original sash windows, don’t fit very well & if the property isn’t listed, could benefit from some secondary double glazing.
