“A hit and a miss”
+Food in restaurant was lovely. Decor very nice. Janey at breakfast was lovely but other staff barely spoke. Beds were comfortable.
−Room 5 was very small. TV kept going off. Reported twice and took a couple of hours to get it fixed. Room seemed as if it was finished in a hurry. Not all on breakfast was a available. Car parking an issue most nights.

“Lovely Hotel”
+Beautiful room. Breakfast was delicious. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent.
−The Internet connectivity wasn't good which also meant the TV in our room didn't work.

“Not great”
+Very clean and the staff are nice
−Waited a while to be checked in. The WiFi was awful and we could not use the smart TV at all as a result. Construction made the stay very noisy. Our heater would not turn off so the room was extremely hot. The view out the window was a brick wall, so no natural light.

+The staff at the start of the night
−This was a present for my brother's engagement. Upon entering the room, he found it very cold because the window could not be closed. The staff wanted to try and seal it with duct tape because there were no rooms available. When he did not accept that, they found another room, but the only problem was that it had wires coming out of the bathroom ceiling; we suspect they were for the bathroom fan as it ran all night. Breakfast was not much better; after 45 minutes, it arrived, but it was not what had been ordered. This was not just a one-off, as other guests had the same problem. He tried to resolve the situation by speaking to the staff and was told to contact Booking.com. I phoned and asked if it was possible to speak to a manager and was promised they would phone me, which they did not. Upon contacting them once more, I was told again to contact Booking.com.

“A haven during a storm”
+Our room was in a newly renovated annexed building. Modern with all advertised facilities. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent; plenty of choice both hot & cold & freshly cooked.
−We had to exit our building to access the main hotel where the bar and breakfast room was located. I orefer to be in the main hotel. It was not made clear in the advert that the selected room would be in an annex. The restaurant is located at the entrance, across from reception. Whilst I love Indian food, the whole place smelled of it, even the morning at breakfast. I feel that this is something that needs addressing as not everyone is a fan of spiced dishes. We did not eat in the restaurant.

+Modern, clean recently renovated room.
−Pillows in bed very firm, ideally a mix would be best 1 firm - 1 soft etc.
