+The location was spot on, nice and close to the main street, wharf and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable (the best one for my 2 week holiday)
−The only issue I had was the hand soap appeared to be watered down, apart from that it was very good stay with fresh milk. a bonus.

“Great stay for a family.”
+Location was perfect for penguin viewing. Apartment was a single unit. Large, clean and well appointed. Appreciated washing machine. Free parking in front of building.
−Shower water pressure was quite weak.

+Bedroom interior design was superb, the bathroom and kitchen was well stocked. Very clean as well. Staying in a heritage stonework building above a shopfront gives a certain feeling. Beautiful garden, lovely hosts. Beds were very warm and comfy.
−If you're from a subtropical part of the world, like this reviewer, don't forget to keep the aircon heater on! It makes a difference at this latitude.

“We loved the apartment ambience and decor, and Whitestone’s location in the historic part of Oamaru.”
+Decor was fascinating and fabulous. Very comfortable bed. Kitchen very well supplied and we appreciated the coffee maker particularly. Beautiful view over the garden from the kitchen/dining window. Heating was on for us when we arrived - so considerate on a cold night. It was no trouble to find street parking right outside.
−The heat pump did a great job of ambient heat but is a long way from the living/bedroom which had a pretty but ineffective ‘mock fire’ heater. The flight of stairs from the front door to the apartment is very steep - something to be aware of when booking- but the trade off is a great location in the historic precinct.

−The couches could have been a bit firmer
