Um gististaðinn

The Yarra is a calm, design-forward four-room boutique inn in the heart of the Catskills, in Roscoe, New York , just over two hours from New York City. Set in a restored 1890s home, it is an intimate, food-forward retreat with only four beautifully composed guest rooms, each with a private bath, luxury linens and curated in-room amenities. Guests enjoy a light continental breakfast each morning, coffee and tea available 24/7 in the guest kitchenette, a Saturday Supper Club dinner, private dining, and a quiet porch and shared spaces for lingering. Roscoe , "Trout Town USA" , sits where the Willowemoc and Beaverkill meet, with legendary fly-fishing waters, forest hikes, swimming holes and village strolls minutes away. The Yarra is proud to be selected in the MICHELIN Guide 2026.

„One of the best places I have ever stayed - and I've stayed at a lot of places.“
+I cannot recommend The Yarra higher. Sonya and the property truly made me feel at home. The room was just gorgeous and the house so cozy. This is the quintessential Catskills B&B. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stay here.

„We really enjoyed our time and would certainly stay here again for future events at Bethel Woods.“
+The Yarra is a charming boutique hotel featuring a great elevated continental breakfast, complete with homemade egg croquettes, locally sourced bagels and pastries, fresh fruit, a variety of coffee and tea, juice, organic milk, and granola. While the bedroom was small, it was comfortable for a short stay. The bathroom was stocked with thoughtful personal accessories, including toothbrushes, shaving kits, deodorant and hair ties. Additionally, the location is very convenient and within walking distance of local eateries, a distillery, numerous shops and only about a 30-minute drive to the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

„Convenient, quick stay“
+Self-serve breakfast from the fridge had a good selection of items. Staff on-site were friendly and explained the property well. Small property size made for a quiet, peaceful stay.
−Rooms were efficient but on the small side. Price felt high for the location.

„It was a great stay in a beautiful bed and breakfast ambience“
+It was upscale continental breakfast laid out beautifully, Nespresso coffee. The location was perfect
−The pillows were hard but that was my fault in not asking the hostess/proprietor to change them which I'm sure they would have.

+It was excellent. There were a number of choices available. Everything was clearly labeled and organized. Appreciated the emphasis on sustainability.
−For us being older the stairs were something we had to be careful using. There were railings which was important. Otherwise everything was great well thought out.

„Pleasant place for a short stay.“
+The bed was comfortable and I liked the cleanliness of the room . The eating area was pleasant. For an overnight stay the Yarra met our needs and we would return. I appreciated the quick responses of the host to our inquiries before we booked.
−The breakfast offered ample options, however, I believe that the bagels were put out the evening before, so although wrapped well in plastic, they were not the bagels I am accustomed to. I would have liked a whole wheat or multigrain option. The room and bathroom needed a small shelf on which to place personal items. Overall we felt the price was a little high for what we got.

„Great place, will definitely go back!“
+Clean, well-appointed, great location. Good coffee, and easy check in and out. Parking also easy. No TV in the room, which was really nice - made for a relaxing weekend. They had a lot of books available in the lounge.
−No outside food or drink allowed in the common areas. This was understandable when the inn was serving dinner but on other days and at other times it was limiting, as our room was quite small, and the only place to sit was the bed. I would’ve liked to be able to eat or drink my wine on the porch.
