„Lovely catch up with family“
+Lovely welcome! Very nice comfortable room!
−It looks a little tired from the outside and would benefit from a bit of tlc (and paint)

„top ausgestattetes englisches Herrenhaus“
+typisch englisch. Altes Herrenhaus, Zimmer sehr gut ausgestattet.

„A lovely 3 night stay in a beautiful setting“
+The hotel is very impressive with long driveway leading to the spectacular historic building. The bedrooms all vary in size and comfort. We had a Heritage Junior Suite.
−It was not made clear to me that the Avenue Restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday. A flashing censor light above our bed had to be reported and was immediately fixed

„Be careful you get what you booked for“
+The hotel main building is beautiful. The gardens were delightful although spoilt by noisy fellow guests. They also spoilt dinner. The bar was particularly good and the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly.
−We had booked a heritage suite that in the photos was a period room in the main house with a view of the garden. Instead we got a modern room in the attic as far as could be from the main building and with a view of the bins. It is not what we had paid for and ruined our visit.

„You get what you pay for!“
+The house, grounds and public rooms were lovely.
−Our booking.com upgrade didn’t really apply, the basic rooms were very basic. We paid extra for an upgrade and our room was really lovely and we were happy. .

„Very enjoyable“
−Choice with dinner menu could be much better - deserts very poor. Breakfast, however was very good, especially with gluten free

+Love the location and the building
−We ate at the well house in the evening and it was shockingly bad! There was hardly any food to choose from as it was a limited menu. But when you were told what was left on the menu you had to try and order before some else did as there was only 1 thing left of certain item. I was so shocked! Surely if there is limited options open the bar for the evening. Rather then letting residents fight to get food
