„Zeer onaangenaam verblijf!“

+The family room was spacious and comfy. The staff were super helpful and flexible - we arrived after midnight much later than planned (late ferry) but they organized a key for us. Likewise the next day, the owner organized storage for our e-bikes so that they were safe. The location is beautiful - fantastic view from the Kellerberg. We were there to tour historic sites but it would be a great base to do a cycling holiday as the surrounding countryside is very pretty. We did not get to try out the restaurant for dinner but it would be beautiful to sit there in the open air on a summer evening.
−Nothing (be aware there is no lift so you will have to carry your bags up stairs. Not an issue for us but could be for some people)

„Good spot for an overnight stay and a very good dining experience“
+Really good restaurant and a very decent breakfast. Excellent bathroom with a walk-in shower way beyond expectations. Nice little terrace to the room.
−It has to be said that the rooms at De Hollemersch are distinctly hostel-like with basic, uninspiring furniture and very narrow beds. This is mitigated by the high standard of the bathrooms and the idyllic location. Our experience of the staff was very mixed, the young man who served us in the restaurant was unfailingly welcoming and helpful, whereas the older staff member with whom we dealt on our arrival was dispiritingly off-hand and unsmiling.

„Gastvrij & zeer hartelijk“
Kortom: aanrader.
