“Beautiful Setting and Huge Potential, but Attention to Detail and Restaurant need Serious Improvemen”
+Zoe Hora is a hotel with enormous potential, set in a stunning location in Dhërmi, Albania. The views are spectacular, the use of the existing buildings gives the property real character, and the infinity pool is a particular highlight. Our room was incredible, with a comfortable bed and a lovely balcony, and the spa was also good. Breakfast was enjoyable, and the terrace area deserves a special mention for its wonderful setting. We would absolutely recommend spending time on the terrace. The hotel staff were very helpful and professional, particularly when assisting us with our bags and parking. There are many positive aspects to Zoe Hora, and it is clear that the property has the foundations to be something truly special. There is work being done to expand, and this looks promising.
−our experience was let down by a lack of attention to detail in several areas. There was a dead plant and a broken light by the entrance to our room, no toilet roll holder, a small amount of mould in the shower, and signage around the property could be improved. These are relatively minor issues individually, but together they detract from the overall experience of a hotel of this standard. Communication and follow-through also need attention. Our towels did not arrive when requested. We were told there would be a delay, but nobody followed up or delivered them. Similarly, we requested an ironing board and were told one would be provided, but it never arrived. These are basic amenities, and it is disappointing when simple requests are acknowledged but not fulfilled. We also felt that the atmosphere around the pool in the mornings could be more professional. Seeing staff sitting around in the pool area made it feel more like a casual hangout than a well-run hotel environment. Given the quality of the setting and the standard the property appears to aspire to, a more polished approach would make a difference. +The food was incredible and the hotel itself, loved the style and the views. Our room was beautiful and we had a small balcony that looked over the rest of the hotel.
−For the price I expected a few things to be better, for example when we arrived (hours after check in) the receptionist said they didn't have our room key and the previous guests took it. Considering we came about 3/4 hours later from check in i didn't expect this. Also the fridge wasn't cold so I kept having to ask the bar for ice for the drinks we had in our room and the air-conditioning stopped working on our second night. We notified staff and had to chase them to do something about it. Also we paid for a couples massage which was great but the spa pool itself was not as advertised on social media and the lights were flashing the whole time. It just seemed to be forgotten in the way it was left. Also on our second night there was a wedding which was obviously loud, I expected the hotel to atleast notify us of this as the music was playing late into the night. Which of course is what you would expect for a wedding but it seems they forgot to tell the rest of guests who were there. I think it's a great hotel but for the price I expected things to be abit more organised.

−The only thing we didn’t like was the road to the property because Google maps don’t exactly lead the correct way in the beginning but even then it wouldn’t ever stop me from coming to visit this heaven of a place.

“Lovely stay at Zoe Hora! One to remember”
+Zoe Hora is so special, nestled amongst the hill it is such a gorgeous place to stay, the grounds are so beautiful and well maintained with gorgeous flowers and ivy everywhere. Reception were very accommodating with our stay, the cleaners and grounds people were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was great with lots of choices. Beds were super comfortable and the room was very spacious. Would highly recommend!!
−The pool area shut at 5pm which felt way too early considering it opens at 10 and there’s still plenty of sun. Our entire kitchen was empty, no bowls, wine glasses, cutlery or anything which was a shame. We had one dinner at the Zoe Hora restaurant which was super disappointing, the service wasn’t good and the portions were tiny!! Way too over priced for how little the portions are.

“Grote teleurstelling”

−Zoe Hora - luxe op papier, teleurstelling in de praktijk Wat een tegenvaller! De gangen galmen alsof je in een parkeergarage slaapt, deuren worden zonder deurdrangers met volle overtuiging dichtgesmeten en op het complex werd tot diep in de nacht gefeest. Rustig slapen was blijkbaar geen onderdeel van het arrangement. Onze kamer leek een van de nieuwste, maar was desondanks al flink verouderd, uitgeleefd en slecht onderhouden. De televisie had een flinke barst in het scherm, de airco lekte boven het bed en de lege shampooflesjes van de vorige gasten stonden nog gezellig op de douchekop. Schoonmaak met oog voor detail was blijkbaar even gesloten. Een stoel ontbrak, maar gelukkig stond er een bijzonder laag tafeltje, zodat je gezellig op de grond kon zitten. Het balkon was volgepropt met twee ligbedden, twee stoelen en een kapotte schommelstoel. De plantenbakken op het complex fungeerden als balustrade: creatief, maar niet bepaald veilig. Veel voorzieningen waren gesloten of nog in aanbouw. Relaxzone zonder enige stoelen of ligbedden. Neem dus vooral je yoga matje mee zodat je op de grond kan zitten of liggen.
