+This guest house was in a great location, very close to the shopping district. Everything closes there at 5pm, so we walked over near the train station for dinner which was about a 15 minute walk. The room and common areas were very clean. The onsen baths were very nice! We only used the outside bath. It was pretty, private and relaxing. We stayed in a japanese style room with futon. The bedding was clean and fresh. The futon was quite thin so it was a very frim bed. I wish we had thought to double them up from the spare futon in the closet. The staff was very helpful and polite on the phone when I checked in. We would stay here again.
−Thin futon made for a firm bed and restless sleep. I would double them if I stayed here again from the futon in the closet. The pillow and duvet were very nice and it had towels which was lovely.

“Overall, very disappointing and far too expensive for what you get.”
+The onsen and WiFi
−Very poor value for money. We were two guests, but only received blankets and sheets for one person. I contacted the property at 6 PM and didn’t get a response until 2 PM the following day, making communication practically impossible. As a result, we couldn’t shower and had to sleep without proper bedding. The futons are also quite uncomfortable, and the walls are so thin that you can hear everything.

+Smart do it yourself style from check in to check out, simple but clean and good.
−It is wooden Japanese house and you will be aware of the slightest noise from your neighbors! We opt for the smallest, lowest price Japanese styled room and the overhead light is so dim that u can’t do anything in the room except to sleep once the sun is down and it gets dark outside. Hope the property can provide better brighter lights.

−The lighting in the room is too dim ( we booked for the lowest price Japanese styled room for two people). Slightest movement and action from neighbors can be heard becos it is wooden flooring Japanese house.

“Worth the price”
+Easy self check-in, with one small indoor onsen and one larger outdoor onsen. When someone is using one, you simply change the sign and lock the door, so you can enjoy it privately. If you’re shy or not comfortable with public onsens, this is a great place to stay and experience one. The location is also great, close to the lake and surrounded by some nice, fancy restaurants.
−Since the house is traditional and hasn’t been recently renovated, the tatami was a bit old, and we even encountered a tiny live cockroach during our stay. Also, the shower at the outdoor onsen wasn’t getting warm. The location was also a little difficult to find, as the building’s facade was not visible from the street.
