+Property located right next to Princes Street, very convenient for exploring Edinburgh. The room was very large and featured a nice shower, though it lacked a window. Breakfast was generous.
−Unfortunately, the room had no window, even though this was not specified at the time of booking. In fact, the photos of the room I booked showed a window; otherwise, I would have booked a different room. The staff were not always up to the standard expected of a 4-star hotel and were not always friendly.

“Brilliant stay and location”
+Close to city centre, really friendly staff and really spacious family room.
−Although tea and coffee was available downstairs, you just can’t beat having a kettle in your room.

“Short trip; location great for center of City to walk to all sights.”
+Room was good, neat and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms cleaned each day.
−Breakfast was expensive and limited continental / fruit options. Ran out of milk for cappucino; No brown bread option.

“We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.”
+The location was good and we appreciated the complimentary tea, coffee and water that was always available. The staff were very helpful.
−The lounge/bar area was very cold but we had travelled from Portugal which had been very warm.

“Modern before but not right”
+Location
−Toilet and shower pod were intrusive with no modesty, no tea and coffee making facilities, bar staff were miserable

“Overall good. Great location. Be mindful that there is no "nearby" parking.”
+Location was good, very central.
−Parking. There are several mentions of Parking on the page, highlights etc. This is not accurate. There is no onsite parking and good luck finding parking on the street in the center of Edinburgh. The nearest parking lot/multi story is 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. In the rain as it happened. I don't mind walking at all, but in the rain with luggage is not optimal.

+L'emplacement proche du château. Literie confortable.
