“It was a nice stay with great access city centre and would visit again”
+It was a decent stay, with an ALDI supermarket just a 3-minute walk away, which was very convenient. The room was serviced while we were out and had all the basic amenities, including a kettle, storage space, towels, shampoo, body wash and soap. There was also an iron and ironing board available. One thing I particularly appreciated was the flexible check-in. There was no strict cut-off time, and we could access the property using a code provided through the app. This made arriving late at night much easier, as we didn't have to rely on anyone being available to let us in.
−One thing that could be improved is the positioning of the bed in relation to the TV. This might not be an issue for everyone, but we wanted to watch TV comfortably from the bed. Unfortunately, the TV was facing a different direction, and although it had an adjustable swivel mount, it seemed to be locked in place. We ended up having to move the bed slightly to face the TV and then move it back to its original position before checking out. It would have been much more convenient if the TV mount could be adjusted or the bed was positioned to face the TV. I think it was unfortunate we got this room , others rooms may not have this issue from the pictures

“NO HOT WATER AVAILABLE”
+Location is good, easy car parking, good room size. There is no breakfast service available but there is a good selection of tea, cofee and biscuits.
−Bathroom is dated and not up to 2026 expectations. There is a bath and a over-bath electrical shower, with NO HOT WATER. The owner, very rude, unpleasant and non sympathetic, could not repair it or offer a room swap. We had to look for an emergency accomodation, be bothered with an extra transfer and accept the only room available on a Saturday afternoon in York. Not exactly the best way to enjoy our weekend in York! Thanks to Booking, a 100% refund has been obtained.

+Clean, well equipped room with a good shower. Huge parking space on site was a bonus.
−Mattress was rather soft and lumpy, but not enough to prevent a reasonable night's sleep. Upstairs residents were very audible, so I don't think the soundproofing was great.

−Only issue was on our last night, guests arrived upstairs from us very late (after midnight, possibly 1am) and it was noisy for quite a while. I'd recommend requesting an upstairs room so this doesn't happen to you.

“We had a great weekend in York, and would book this accommodation again”
+Location was quiet and convenient, close to Aldi for general shopping, and a short walk into town centre. Uber was also only £7 into town. It is also close to York Racecourse.
