10.0“Great stay, loved the area an the passion of everyone involved in preserving the history of Woolmer Estate passion of t”
+The stay was a great opportunity to learn more about our pastoral history and the involvement of convict labour! It was authentic, comfortable and the staff were extremely welcoming and well informed about the history of the estate!
−We did have a concern about a fellow guest arriving very late on our last evening and was not sure where he should be! He thought he was lost and very confused! The staff dealt with the issue and said they would review protocols for late arrivals!

10.0“Comfortable stay in historic buildings & informative display of Tasmania's past”
+Grand old farm estate that was originally built and worked utilising assigned convict labour. Lots of old buildings to explore and a real sense of history. Accommodation is in refurbished apartments inside original estate buildings, and offers an interactive experience. Accommodation is very comfortable and ample wood is provided so a log fire can be kept burning as hot and as long as guest desire. An included Devonshire tea is offered to guests on the afternoon of arrival and we were fortunate to enjoy the friendly company of the property managers whilst we enjoyed our tea and scones. Staying at the property allows the opportunity to explore the property after hours, which we took advantage of. There is a sensational rose garden located on the estate, but unfortunately, we were just a little early to view the roses in full blossom. The visitor centre has a very informative convict display - Unshackled Exhibition, which gives some good insights into the transportation and treatment of convicts. Staying at Woolmers Estate also includes the opportunity to visit nearby Brickenden Estate which was established by the Archer family.

10.0“Absolutely stunning estate with so many wonderful references to the past. Magnificent”
+Woolmers Estate is beautiful and a complete historic and glamorous experience. It has charm, character and a prestigious history. Very beautiful grounds and buildings, barns, cottages, museum and so much more. The cottage we stayed in was authentic dating back to the 1800's and lovely - it included modern amenities; kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, loungeroom, bedroom, fireplace etc. All the things you need to stay were there for us and it felt cosy and special.
−It would have been good to have wi fi and the television tuned into streaming. Other than that - we loved the place
