“Good location, variable quality.”
+The location lends itself to exploring the city on foot. Directly opposite the stunning stadium - worth bearing in mind for the next 6 Nations Championship - it also puts the castle, the parks, the shopping arcades and the city centre amenities within easy reach. I did not have time to go down to the bay - and the weather was very much against the idea - but to have done so would have been a useful addition to the visit.
−You quickly adapt to the fact that water in the room is NOT classed as "drinking water" - provision of filtered water on the ground floor is unlimited and not too much of a chore. However, the shower in the room refused to cooperate with any combination of power, extractor fan ON/OFF, water pressure, temperature setting etc. meaning that a cold shower was the only somewhat less than inviting option. YES, there is a number to contact for "out of hours" assistance, but the fact that the system is beyond the wit of the average resident surely suggests that whatever needed doing is unnecessarily complex and therefore should be corrected. However, as it became apparent that there was a leak somewhere under the shower tray it was perhaps for the best that the temperature issue could not be resolved, since I would have spent longer in the shower with the resulting greater volume of water spillage from the leak. Rather disappointing overall.

“Really good. Great location, simple and clean.”
+Easy access yet secure, no stress with checking in or process receiving PIN codes. During the minimum interaction I had with staff coming and going from the building they were pleasant and friendly. Would recommend. Simple, clean and secure. All you need for a quick stay in the city.
−I mentioned to staff on day of my check out, the left window handle (room 10) is broken off. I tried to open the window and it was loose already, came off right away into my hand. I managed after a minute or two of trying to get it back on to lock the window at least, and as mentioned I did inform staff. Not a criticism as such but meant I had to report it to ensure staff were aware it was broken before my stay clearly.

“Great location”
+Central location for the train station and all entertainment facilities including bars and restaurants. Comfortable bed and shower is great once you get the temperature right
−The shower door kept coming off the runners, easily fixed though, due to being downstairs you heard people coming and going at all hours and they let the front door shut noisily, it is a soft shut but does echo when it closes, unfortunately we had a horrendous storm one day and as the heating is on a set timer that you have no control over you had nowhere to put your wet clothes to dry and had to get into bed to warm up. Maybe a small heater and clothes maid for future reference.

“Great hotel but change the code system”
+Hotel was clean and staff friendly, the bed was reeeeeaaaallly comfortable and the room cosy. Filtered hot, tempered and cold water available for free with instant coffee and tea next to the microwave.
−We were given a code by email, this code opens the front door of the hotel, and the room door. We were notified by email 2 hours later in another email that our code had changed. We tried our old code for 5 minutes before we thought of checking our emails... What if we had forgotten our phones in our room? We would have been stuck outside.

“Nice place, perfect location!”
+The location for this is absolutely perfect, I have limited mobility and I was able to walk from here over the bridge to see the castle and the main high streets as well as the park. It's right in the centre without being caught in the pedestrianised bit so I was able to drive and park opposite right outside the door. The host was also lovely and helpful, the room was perfect for what I needed and the bed is very comfortable!

“Fantastic facilities and staff. Could do with better beds.”
+It was all good. Lovely view. We just found the beds extremely uncomfortable and the walls very thin. We could hear next door snoring, coughing, groaning. Fantastic accommodating staff though and brilliant facilities.
−The beds. We ended up travelling home at 1am due to being uncomfortable.
