“Beautiful elevated stay”

+The hosts were the nicest, most genuine we have had all trip. The room was immaculate, with clever timber design and a very comfortable modern bathroom. We had the most beautiful breakfasts out on the deck amongst the trees. It's a relatively easy walk down waterfall road right into the middle of town. I would highly recommend staying at winwood ella, thank you for making our stay so wonderful 🙏

“Great!”
+In a quite street, a short walk from the main shopping and restaurant streets of Ella. The breakfast served on the balcony with home made jam, delicious Sri Lankan breakfast watching the birds and squirrels was amazing. The rooms are spacious and the owner, his daughter and staff were extremely kind and friendly! The next door hotel has a pool and by paying a small fee you can access it

“Family-run gem in Ella, wood-built beauty, forest-view terrace, and hosts so lovely!”
+We had a wonderful stay at Winwood Ella Hotel, a family-run property that made our trip truly special. The owner picked us up in Kandy and drove us to the hotel, stopping along the way to show us the stunning nature and waterfalls, so our amazing stay actually began with that drive. The hotel itself is beautiful, with wood featured throughout. One of the definite highlights is the private terrace, which looks directly into a forest, you can even spot animals from there. Breakfast is served on your private terrace every morning and is freshly made. It's just a 5-minute walk to the city center, and if you're into hiking, you can start your trek right from the accommodation on foot. The whole family is incredibly lovely, they helped us with everything and made us feel completely at home. If you're visiting Ella, you have to stay here! If we could give 15 out of 10, we definitely would.

“Mejorable”
+El personal fue súper amable en todo momento, el desayuno muy abundante y puntual.
−La sábana de la cama se quedaba pequeña y tenía manchas. La habitación olía muy fuerte a químicos, suponemos que porque le habrían dado un tratamiento a la madera. En la pared había rejillas de ventilación sin poner mosquiteras y se nos coló una plaga de bichos voladores dentro de la habitación, aunque el personal estuvo muy atento y nos avisó de que no eran peligrosos y nos dieron consejos para evitar que entraran.

−La calle para llegar al hotel es bastante empinada para ir andando, pero se soluciona cogiendo un tuk tuk. Todo lo demás estupendo.
