+Our booking as last minute as other accommodation was not ok. They accommodated our family of 7, and our driver, with 30mins notice. We loved the chef and his food. The beds and pillows we really comfortable. Handy location for lots of things. Again, the chef was outstanding!

“Wimal's Palace was more like Wimal's Place.”
+The building itself looks as per the photos. The entrance garden was neat. Had hot water to shower. Easy check in and check out. Staff tried to attend to your requests; we asked for early breakfast since we had some some island boat trips planned. The first day the staff managed everything on time but the second day the food was 30mins+ late. Quick 5 mins walk to main road
−The photos seem to have been taken a couple of years ago and the bedroom and specially the bathroom and toilet were very very dirty. I literally had to clean the toilet seat that had urine on it. Bedsheets were dusty and the pillowcases smelled like they haven't been washed for some time. There was only one towel for two people. The bathroom fittings had not been cleaned for a long time neither. It had layers of old tooth paste splatter on the mirror, sink and tiles around it. There were two cockroaches and ants. The kitchen was very dirty as well with dirty splatters and dust everywhere. The kettle had limestone layers and dust. This is our experience, we want this place to live up to the name "Palace" and support the local business to thrive. We thank the staff for the positive side of things.

“An extremely roomy suite.”
+The whole suite was incredible with a nice room for our driver in the suite. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

−We could only check in at 2am as there wasnt anyone to do the room cleaning. The chef was all rounder.

“Comfortable stay in Jaffna except for the cockroaches and moldy blankets”
+The whole apartment was very clean except for our kitchen which was infested with cockroaches and also had some moldy blankets. The staff were helpful, especially Daniel who is an awesome cook. The free breakfast was a plus and he was very accommodating with the options. Even our driver got free accommodation which was decent.
−The kitchen smelt funny and had dead cockroaches on arrival inside a pantry drawer. During the night we saw another massive cockroach so put the spray. Next morning there were heaps dead. Also the blankets in two rooms had moldy fungus like stuff on them and had to be changed

“A perfect place is Jaffna :))”
+Absulutely recommended for Jaffna! The Building Is clearly new and It Is well kept, clean rooms, perfect bathrooms and clean beds! The little garden had even a couple of fruit trees like papaya or bananas. Everyone is extremily kind and welcoming. Even though some may speak little to no english, they still try to comunicate with the little world they know and a super kind smile. When we came back the first night from the dinner, we had a little chat with the night keeper, he was extremily nice. He even got us a papaya to eat in the morning. Soo kind! The place is super close to the centre, less than 5 mins by tuk tuk, which you can order yourself on the app Pickme or they will order it for you. If the speaking english guy is not present, he is always reachable by phone for any useful information, even to suggest some really nice restaurants. He would even come back anytime needed. Moreover, by mistake we forgor to pay, and the person responsible was so kind to come to the bus station instead of making us go back. Super nice and extremily helpful. Lastly, to have breakfast on top of the building is really nice. The terrace ha a nice view of the sourranding. Highly reccomend it to an

+Very modern building with outstanding plumbing, powerful AC and wi-fi. Close to a three wheel park to go wherever you wish in town. Staff members very nice to customers. Good Srilankan breakfast. In the “common area” there’s a kitchen with a large fridge in case you wish to cook something. I think I will return if in the area again.
−No shampoo/bath foam in the bathroom only soap bars. No desk in the room but in front of it there’s a living room (to be shared with the others room on the floor) with a large table. Same menu in 4 days for breakfast.
