“Amazing stay. Room was comfy.”
+Staff were friendly and accommodating. They also operate the pub that is steps away. The food was exceptional and the service exceeded my expectations. I look forward to returning.

+The room is an excellent size, the bathroom is modern. The rooms have been recently renovated and you can tell as they feel fresh. The bathroom door is a little heavy and automatically closes to prevent steam entering the main room. The room was very clean and the windows do open a good way if you want to get fresh air in. Check in was very very swift and the staff super friendly. They give you two different firmness of pillows on the bed so you can choose what is comfortable which was a nice touch. You can pop across to the pub for food which is also excellent. The lighting is good, bright main lights, but also plenty of lamp options if you want more subtle lighting. The curtains do also fully block out light if you need that. Tea and coffee options good, would have been nice to have a hot chocolate option though. Food in the pub is excellent, unclear if you can order it as room service to your room though as there is no information on that in the room, only the standard pub menu.
−The bed is quite firm, but I generally find all hotel beds too firm as I prefer a soft or memory foam mattress. The floors are quite creaky so you can hear other people walking around in the rooms above you, I could also hear someone in the next room on a work call and could clearly hear his conversation through the wall, but not an unusual amount for a modern hotel. I found the light switches by the bed a little confusing as I couldn't seem to turn off the other bedside lamp on the opposite side whilst in bed. I didn't have an issue parking, however I checked in at 3pm on a weekday so would be less busy. I know this pub can fill the car park in the evenings and weekends so need to bare that in mind depending on when you are checking in as otherwise you do have to pay to park at the other carpark outside the supermarket. The outside seating area of the pub is right by the front of the hotel, so if you are sensitive to noise I'd ask for a room not facing the front of the hotel. However as it's autumn now not many people were out there so it was quiet when I stayed.
