“Not recommended for a frugal traveler who does not have to stay in this town.”
+Close to restaurants and bars near the college. Friendly folks in the front office, and a good continental breakfast with fresh fruit.
−An older roadside motel with some ground floor rooms and a rwo-storey wing without elevator but outside wooden stairs. The room is overstuffed with furniture and appliances, and the bathroom is tiny. Sound insulation is poor, and the heat/ac unit is noisy. The place is adequate, but the gushing customer reviews are at best misleading.

“I visited beautiful Williamstown for the celebration of John T. Allen, a man beloved by many.”
+The room was nice, the shower and bathroom were clean. They had cable TV. The bed was good. I only had some of the breakfast because I was in a hurry but it looked good, and I was able to take pastries on the go.
−All went. As expected. Thank you.

“Very nice stay. I will book this place again.”
+The staff were so welcoming. The breakfast was a complete surprise of fresh fruits, yogurt, nuts, pastries and cereal. I felt like a true "guest". I had a very nice updated room and the location was close to a nice little village. I felt safe traveling alone for work.

“Outstanding value for a wonderful Berkshires stay!”
+The breakfast was large and nourishing -- loads of fruit, yogurt, various breads, boiled eggs, coffee and juices. An excellent value! We were even encouraged to take food for later!
−Nothing!

“Exceptional experience”
+This is by far the best Motel breakfast destination in America. I stayed here in 2021 and this year we went out of our way to spend a couple of nights. Food and cozy conversation over breakfast make this a standout. The two host guys stop at nothing to make your stay exceptional.

“Clean, comfortable for a one-night stay.”
+Room on second floor was quiet, far enough from road. Room comfortable, no frills as expected. Perfectly adequate for a last-minute summer weekend booking under $200.

“It felt like home away from home. Very relaxing and peaceful.”
+Very quaint. White with blue trim was charming. Owners lived in the big house and were very available to take care of every need.
−Nothing.

“The front desk staff made this stay worthwhile.”
+The front desk staff was incredible. They were super friendly, accommodating, and really made the stay excellent. The breakfast was great, with an extensive array of fruits, nuts, and breads. But the people were the reason to stay here.
−I wasn't able to close the window in the bathroom.
