“Farcical, over priced and over rated”
+Breakfast was the best thing about the stay
−Poor tea tray, no milk or sugar only 2 tea bags, and when asking for some at reception was given enough for 1 cup per person. Wallpaper peeling off in bedroom, dirty scuff marks on walls. Stains/ marks on bedding. Toilet felt unsafe to use. We attended for a wedding party, went in for the 7pm start, power was off, got first drink from bar, 30 minutes later was still no power and told what I was drinking had sold out, as it’s the only thing i drink, had to go on pop for the rest of the night. 2 hours in power finally restored, then within half an hour fire alarm went off and was evacuated. Very poor communication from staff. Upon returning to our room there was a letter under the door apologised for disrupting the event and saying people with mobility issues should contact reception if they couldn’t get up the stairs (due to the lift not working) This letter was about as much use as a chocolate tea cosy to people in the function room where none of this was communicated. Felt so sorry for the bride and groom

“One of the cleanest hotels I’ve been in for a long time. Really impressed.”
+How clean and modern the hotel was. The room was really clean and comfortable too. Really good value for money in that respect but then I bought a cappuccino and was just £6.00. I couldn’t believe it.
−£6.00 for a cappuccino is an absolute joke. How can you justify £6.00 for a cup of coffee ?

+Craig, on reception was really helpful. He moved our daughters room nearer to us and made sure our granddaughter had some dairy free porridge for breakdast.
−The only slight niggle was that the room was really hot upon check in and the air con didnt seem to work.
