+It's at the end of a back alley, the rooms are basic, there is an odour/smell - best you pay another $50 and get a 4 star. This is not a 3 star hotel, its one star at best. Avoid !!

“Nice hotel with amazing owner”
+Great stay for my first night in Sri Lanka. I had a airport transfer arranged prior to my arrival and was in constant contact with the owner via WhatsApp. There is a cafe down the road, or you can get to the beach restaurants with a $1-$2 Pick Me ride (download the app- it’s like Uber). Breakfast was a nice addition. I was able to stay in the room until 3PM at no extra charge, which was really helpful since I had to get back to airport in afternoon. Free airport drop is great!

+Staff and service is exceptional! The facilities are basic, price is great and it’s fairly close to the airport. They went above and beyond to arrange a safe ride in the middle of the night to the hotel and even drove us to catch our bus. Udi answered a thousand of our questions and provided a wonderful breakfast. We travel a lot and I can say we probably received some of the best and kindest service at White Palace.
