“The wife thought we were in a hostel; they had crammed an extra 3 beds in room making a large room very cramped; lofts o”
+Good view; comfy bed
−Being left outside waiting for someone to let us, although we had given them indicative time of arrival, and called them to let them know when we were 20 minutes away; 3 extra beds crammed into bedroom; poor state with lots of things broken or not working e.g. extract fan and mirror light in bathroom not working; fixing for shower hanging out of wall; robe hook on door hanging loose; handle on bedside cabinet broken; batteries for remote control for TV were held in by sellotape, it was initially not working at all, but management changed batteries so it did. However, only a few buttons worked and had to turn off by main button at back of TV; view of TV obstructed by the clothes hanging frame ( no wardrobe); no hairdryer

“Would recommend!”
+A great room set up for our family including 3 kids. We arrived late and left early so couldn’t see the view, but I bet it was great! Lovely touches with mini toiletries and biscuit/chocolate.
−Bathroom tired with a long time to wait for hot water but it’s an old property and to be expected. No parking but we found something a couple of roads away. I got action was good about this though, so again to be expected. No other comments

+The location is great, beautiful seaview from our room. Hotel is basic but comfortable enough.
−The shower was a nightmare! It only seemed to do cold or roasting hot on the first morning and then not at all on the second morning.

“Friendly, super room, great breakfast”
+What a friendly hotel. Welcomed by the owner (before the normal check in time) and shown to a spacious, clean and well presented bedroom. All that we needed. And the breakfast room is very impressive - light and airy and the food choice was great. So much so that I didn't miss my cooked breakfast! Staff very attentive and friendly - both from the breakfast team and the cleaners.
−The entrance of the hotel and the internal stairs look like they need a bit of tlc, which isn't uncommon for similar older properties - but the bedrooms are not like this! This minor observation would not stop us recommending the hotel.

“Excellent place to stay in Folkestone.”
+The location was excellent and close to a lovely walk along the path by the sea. There are a number of good restaurants nearby. The continental breakfast was well presented and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean. Well done Westward Ho!
−The wobbly toilet seat.
