“A lovely B&B with every attention to detail clean, comfortable run by a warm and friendly couple.”
+Staying at Westergate House was a lovely experience. The room was comfortable, well equipped and very clean. our hosts were friendly and helpful with local information about places to eat for evening meals. The food was great with a fully english breakfast available and also multiple combinations of other breakfast favourites. The home made jam was a real treat. We pre ordered sandwiches too that were a real delight along with the homemade biscuits and cake left with the hot drinks tray in the room. Thank you Hilary and Paul we really enjoyed your hospitality.

“A short trip, but we shall return to this gem of a b and b.”
+Lovely room, fantastic breakfast. Our hosts Hilary and Paul were delightful. It's a short bus ride into York, or a to the huge shopping mall if you don;t want to use your car. The air museum at Elvington is a short car ride away.
−Nothing; loved our stay there.

“I didn't want to leave!”
+I was greeted with a warm welcome from the host, who showed me to my room. The rooms were all named after Yorkshire folk or words. The room was very pleasant and looked out over the garden. The bed was comfortable and the room even had a small fridge for milk etc.. The residents lounge was magnificent, large, and very relaxing. Many books to read, and even a collection of LP's (remember those?) from the sixties and seventies, to flick through. The breakfast room was well laid out, the breakfast itself was very filling, it set me up for the day ahead. Loads of local villages to explore, many having pubs and restaurants.
−The hot water did take time to work it's way to the shower and wash basin, but that's only a minor issue.
