“Disappointing and really needs to be updated and the damp addressed”
+The views from the upstairs room was nice, the staff were really kind.
−I’m really disappointed considering it was a 9.0 star “superb” property with rave reviews that I really can’t understand match the property. The rooms don’t look as clean and modern as in the pictures and smelled very damp. The bathrooms are very outdated and old. We were moved into an upstairs room that did look more sunny and spacious and had a view, but the bathroom was still very very old (think pink and blue 1970’s) with no hot water in the shower (I ran it for ages and ages but no hot water). The bottom two rooms we were first in were dark, smelled very damp throughout the bedrooms and the bathrooms were also very very outdated, with stained baths that were unappealing. One of us still stayed in one of these rooms, and the light and fan combo in the bathroom is so old -very noisy and better to have a bath in the dark. The booking advertised breakfast included on a banner when I booked, which is why I chose it, as we were leaving the following morning early on a road trip, but when we sat down for breakfast they hadn’t prepared for breakfast saying they didn’t see that the booking included that. There was NO ONE else staying here even though it was a long weekend.
