“Unique stay”
+Overall this hotel is worth it for the amazing design, it is really unique and beautiful. The breakfast was the best we had in China, really very very good. The staff were all very attentive and helpful, many spoke English, which can be rare even at hotels. The direct connection to the mall was really nice, particularly in rainy days, and the hotel had a nice to explore surrounding area. However if this is the only hotel you will be staying at in Chengdu, i wouldnt recommend this location, its quite far from the main attractions. The pool area was also very nice though we would have appreciated more instructions on accessing it and what to wear.
−After a 20h+ flight we arrive at the hotel at 16h and the room is not ready... it took around 30 minutes more of wait for us to be able to check in. For such an expensive hotel this was a really big letdown. Although we booked non-smoking bedroom, there was a weird smell in the room. This happened in all hotels we stayed at with mixed smoking policy.

“The room was great!”
+Modern and very cool. Nice interior.
−The concierge offered to arrange transportation without mentioning it is a limousine or the costs involved. His email was sent while I was flying and I didn’t know about it. Because I didn’t know, I took my own taxi only to discover that transportation had been arranged . I feel I was wrongly charged for the transportation. I should get a refund for that.

+Beautiful Hotel. Love all the curves in the lobby and in the rooms. I had requested an early check-in and this was accommodated. Staff went above and beyond. Even sending someone to my room with ice for a foot injury, and to take a room service order after translating the menu into English for me. Breakfast buffet was excellent. There is no restaurant in the hotel for dinner. But one is immediately adjacent. Room itself was large, dark, and quiet for sleeping. Comfortable bed. The large free standing bathtub was perfect for soaking, great amenities and lots of bottled water available. The hotel offers "Wonderful Rooms" and "Spectacular Rooms". When I asked about the difference, I was told that the spectacular rooms had a better view. Highly recommend.

“Perfekter Aufenthalt!!”
