+The location was fantastic! Very close to the national park. Our room specifically felt like we were in nature.
−Breakfast was nice and fresh, but we would’ve appreciated a few more options. For our 2 nights, they only provided banana bread and papaya with yogurt each morning, both of which were very good!

“Overall a pleasant stay.”
+Location, cleanliness and service. Breakfast of fresh fruit, banana bread and coffee was a nice treat.
−Hot tub was poorly maintained. Did not use it due to cloudiness of the water.

+My girlfriend came from Colorado and she felt like we were in a treehouse. We switched our pillows so we could look out the windows and watch the rain in the trees and flowers. They had such a wide variety if flowers.
−Checking in was a little confusing to me. No real person to talk to.

“Basic place with potential for home base to explore”
+Great location in Hilo with convenient parking and potential for basic home base to explore the volcano region.
−Although mentioned in the amenities, no A/C and no TV made the stay uncomfortable because it rained and there was no trade wind breeze. Additionally there was an issue with the gas oven igniter switch that clicked all night. Incomplete amenities ( coffee but no creamer/sweetener, bath towel but no hand towel or face towel/washrag, wiring for but no smoke detector or carbon monoxide unit).

−Old Guy in dining room blasting his morning trivia quiz on his phone while eating. Suggested he get some headphones and kitchen staff thanked me!

+beautiful location, convenient to the volcano national park. check in and check out was easy (we never saw/talked to any staff). had everything we needed.
−beds were a bit uncomfortable but manageable and breakfast was a bit light. given that it was a bed and breakfast, i would've expected more for breakfast rlese we would've brought more of our own food
