“Very friendly staff, great breakfast and location, but price is too high for the room conditions”
+The staff are very friendly and accommodating, while the location is easy to find + they have parking on site. Bathroom is renovated and the location was very quiet, helping for a peaceful sleep!
−We could see from the photos that the house is relatively old and not renovated, but it sadly also came with mouldy and stained walls, eyelash extensions next to the bed, and a dirty bathroom. This would all be okay if it was shown on the photos and if the price wasn’t as high as it is for the area.

“Efficient social guesthouse in Balykchy”
+Large and busy guesthouse with very friendly and attentive hostess who speaks English and is happy to advise about Balykchy and its surroundings and arrange transportation to other parts of Kyrgyzstan. Brand new bathroom with strong hot shower. Large rooms with clean and quite comfortable beds. Market in a nearby block of apartments, snooker hall next door. 1 km to the local beach with a nice restaurant.
−When it gets busy, it can be noisy, we could hear people walking above us loudly. The walls could be freshly painted. We really missed curtains to keep a strong street lights shining directly in the room away. The bathroom is shared amongst the whole large house and it got very busy.

+I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it! My room was big, the bathroom was very modern and stylish and the breakfast was good. The host family is very nice and speaks good english. My highlight was going on horse to a canyon nearby with the dad and the son of the family.

+Ich habe hier eine Nacht verbracht. Die Familie, die das Guesthouse betreibt, ist sehr gastfreundlich und hilft bei allen Fragen und Anliegen rund um den Aufenthalt sowie die Weiterreise. Das Zimmer war gross, das Bett sehr bequem, Wifi war während des gesamten Aufenthaltes sehr gut. Es wird ein grosses Frühstück mit viel Auswahl angeboten. Das Guesthouse bietet auch eine gute Möglichkeit, um andere Reisende zu treffen. Das Guesthouse liegt etwa 2,5 Kilometer vom zentralen BusTerminal entfernt in einer ruhigen Wohngegend. Mit einem Taxi ist man aber für kleines Geld sehr schnell dort. Zu einem kleinen, belebten Strand am See sind es etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuss. Also alles in allem eine ganz gute Lage.
