“Hoest has anger management problems”
+Location, close to beach
−At first, the host was very kind and welcoming during check-in. Unfortunately, our experience changed significantly after we raised a concern about the room's air quality. The room had a strong moldy smell, and I began experiencing physical discomfort, including a reaction and excessive mucus. We politely asked if the issue could be investigated, such as checking or replacing the air-conditioning filters. Instead of sending someone qualified to assess the issue, the host sent her young son (approximately 8-10 years old) to "resolve" the situation. We respectfully asked to speak with an adult regarding the concern, after which her husband came to our room. The interaction that followed was deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable. Rather than discussing the issue professionally, he raised his voice, called us "scammers," and spoke to us in an aggressive and hostile manner (we were 3 females) The communication felt emotionally abusive and intimidating. We were simply expressing a concern about the room conditions and trying to find a solution. We also noticed that the bathroom did not appear to have proper ventilation. +Cute bed and breakfast managed by a friendly family. Location was close walk to restaurants and the beach. Breakfast was very pleasant and served fresh on our balcony every morning. Would recommend!

“The perfect escape in busy tamarindo”
+We had a wonderful stay at Villa Nauticus in Tamarindo and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. This charming boutique hotel is perfectly located just two blocks from the beach, offering easy access while still being tucked away from the busy, more crowded parts of town. It was the ideal balance of convenience and tranquility. We traveled with our 7-year-old son, and the pool was definitely a highlight for him,he absolutely loved it and looked forward to swimming every day. What truly sets Villa Nauticus apart is the hospitality. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Their knowledge of the local area is outstanding,they gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants and activities that really enhanced our trip. The room service was excellent, and every detail of our stay exceeded expectations. Everything we could have asked for,and more,was taken care of. We would absolutely stay here again

“I won't stay anywhere else in Tamarindo.”
+This was an exceptional booking. The family host is lovely, exceedingly helpful and kind. Agelie will give you all the tips and tricks around the block, from activities to best restaurants and has direct contact with many vendors and locals to hook you up. The location is ideal, it is quiet while still in the thick of Tamarindo. Gorgeous and convenient locale. The room and premises were beautifully decorated and had good air conditioning and solid internet. For the price this property is the best quality in town.

“STAY HERE!”
+WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO STAY! Villa Nautilus is operated by a friendly and very helpful French family (who also speak Spanish and English) who bend over backwards to make you feel at home. Rooms are cozy, pool is nice, and the location (3 minute walk from beach, ATM, supermarket, bookstore, and restaurants) is perfect. If you want to be just another guest, stay at one of the big hotels. If you want to feel like you're at home, stay at Villa Nautilus!

“I was completely satisfied and would recommend this guest”
+The location is perfect, easy walking distance to beach, supermarkets, restaurants, gym, and only one block from the WAYRA Spanish school which was the reason for my stay. The room was exactly as represented on the listing, with all the amenities expected. The host Agélie is fantastic, and she went above and beyond by booking local shuttle transport to and from the guest house, providing a wealth of information and recommendations about Tamarindo, and being flexible with my checkout time. All in all an exceptional stay.

“Property was beautiful and clean, but items were missing upon returning back to the house.”
+The property was beautiful and very clean, just like the pictures.
−The owner sat us down for about 2 hours upon arrival to go over all the amenities in the area, which was nice, but did not seem optional and was very overwhelming after traveling all day. My airpods were also missing upon returning back to the house one day, which was the only valuable item that I did not lock up in the safe. The owner was very upset when I brought this up and asked if she had seen them.
