“Gorgeous views from our top floor terrace”
+The hotel is located on the hill just a few mins from the lake and then it's a 15 mins walk to the centre. We got the top floor room with a huge terrace and beautiful views which was by far the highlight. If you stay there, make sure you are on the terrace at dusk as hundreds of huge bats fly and it's a magnificent sight. The room itself is large and the bed was comfy. The staff were super friendly and we had a lovely conversation with them. The breakfast was ok but basic.
−We were fine with it but be aware that there's no lift. Also the room is in need of a refresh but it was find for a couple of nights. But I would stay again because of the gorgeous terrace and the lovely hotel staff.

“Great location, lovely hosts, dated villa.”
+The property was more dated than the photos represent. However we had a lovely stay. I think people’s enjoyment of the property will depend on which room you end up with. Our room was lovely however our friends room was definitely of a lower standard.
−The inconsistency of the room quality and at the time, the villa was surrounded by a very large road reconstruction site. Made getting to and from villa a challenge and very muddy.

“A lovely stay”
+This is very classy accommodation, in a great location near the lake and within walking distance of the Temple of the Tooth. Our room with terrace was fabulous. Excellent home cooking. Clean, quiet and comfortable. When one of us had a medical issue, the manageress arranged medical assistance (thank you!) and even ordered a tuktuk to fetch the medicine. She also got us tickets to the dance and arranged a driver to Kandy.

“Amazing hotel with lovely, helpful host”
+From the time we arrived the host Shanani was so welcoming and friendly, helping us reserve tickets for the Kandyan Dance Show and giving advice about where to go when, for the best experience. Beautifully decorated room and the evening meal we had was absolutely delicious. We also really enjoyed the egg hoppers in the morning which were very tasty. The balcony of our rooms had amazing views and it was so relaxing :)

“A very enjoyable stay, highlighted by the owner's warm hospitality.”
+Very warm and gracious hospitality, starting with the friendly and informative welcome by Shanani and continuing through the breakfast conversations with her and her husband. They are a very interesting and accomplished couple, yet willing to take the time to chat comfortably with visitors and guests. I was also fortunate to be assigned the top floor room, which has an expansive flower-lined terrace overlooking the city.
−A lot of stairs to climb, but it's worth it when you get to the top!

+Ottima posizione per visitare Kandy. Stanze pulite e ottima colazione, davvero abbondante e buonissima. Proprietaria estremamente gentile e disponibile: abbiamo avuto un problema medico e ha risolto tutto in un attimo brillantemente, trovandoci aiuto.
−Bagno piccolo e il quarto letto era in realtà un divano un po' ricurvo.
