“I don't want my obituary to say "died tripping on a live wire while getting up to pee".”
+The drive from downtown is short and fast, the place is easy enough to find with very clear signs, the reception was very welcoming and the owner spoke to me and gave me a run through of the place, breakfast hours, pool use, that kind of thing. The human element is really the highpoint of the place.
−There was a current transformer with exposed connections being used to power through the minibar, I placed a table over the thing to not accidentally kick it while getting up to use the bathroom and die electrocuted. Even if it's not a deadly hazard, I don't know what's the voltage on either end, it's a huge discomfort to walk around the room mindful of that thing. In addition, the gate was broken and had to be manually opened while I was there, which is not huge deal when it's not raining, but might be a problem for older travelers or during certain weathers.

Ficamos.no quarto 3

+The room was good enough, however there was mold on the walls. The host was amazing and he helped me arranged everything, the breakfast was very good as well. However the location is about 25 minutes taxi driver from the historic center which will cost you a $20 taxi. And therefore you will have to pay that every time you want to come into the marina and take a tour. And then going back as well. The area where the posada is located is not very busy and it can feel a bit scary if you want to walk by yourself. The posada concept is great, and the host is also great, however if you want to do tours from the marina and spend time at the historic center of Paraty, you should book a posada within at least 10 minutes drive from the History center and the marina. The wifi worked good, the hosts and breakfast was really good, but please do know that you can not walk to the historic center and the marina or PAraty, you will need to pay $20 or more taxi to get there.
