“A little slice of paradise just outside of Ubud”
+Everything. Starting from their attention to the client, which was truly exceptional. Never experienced anything like this before. Especially Jun, Purnamii and Ade were professional, friendly, careful, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. The place itself is an idyllic, beautiful complex, surrounded by nature. It is close to Ubud but with traffic it can take a while to get to the city center. For us this wasn't really an issue as we wanted to stay a bit away from the more touristic and chaotic part of this area. They only have 6 villas which means the place is always quiet and anyone's stay is ensured to be relaxing. Our room was clean and really, really comfortable, and even though it was right on the common pool, we were not bothered once by any noise. We also had the chance to try some of their complementary services and facilities: - Besides their (healthy and delicious) breakfast, we had dinner at their restaurant which ended up feeling like a private (and again, truly delicious) dining experience with an incredible view on the jungle and rice fields. - We booked a one-day tour through temples and Jatiluwih with one of their recommended driver/guides, Ari, which was
−Only leaving. We would've liked to stay a bit longer than 3 nights.

“Uma Kalai is absolutely exceptional! The hotel is spotless, and the service is truly outstanding. The food is incredible”
+Uma Kalai is absolutely exceptional! The hotel is spotless, and the service is truly outstanding. The food is incredible, and every single meal and drink was delicious - nothing disappointed! Every member of staff is friendly, kind, and welcoming, making the entire experience even more special. I booked a spa treatment every day and felt completely relaxed, comfortable, and pampered throughout my stay. An amazing experience from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for more! Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back for another stay. Uma Kalai has truly set the bar high! We loved every moment of our stay and are already planning our next visit. Thank you to the entire team for making our experience so unforgettable. We can’t wait to return!
−It was perfect.

“Luxurious Ubud stay”
+Absolutely beautiful. The staff were amazing. Everything in our villa was perfect. The private pool was beautiful, set in a walled garden The whole hotel is private, quiet and set in beautiful gardens Views from the pool, restaurant and lounge were lovely. We were treated like royalty for 3 days. The staff were so lovely, checking on our every need. We enjoyed the village walk and Jamu cooking lesson included in our stay. Well done Uma Kalai.👏👏👏👏👏
−The food at the restaurant was good but not up to the standard of the accommodation and the service. The beautiful setting and service made up for this though.

“Overall, Uma Kalai gave us exactly the kind of honeymoon experience we had hoped for: beautiful, peaceful, private and i”
+An unforgettable honeymoon stay We spent four nights at Uma Kalai for our honeymoon, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The villa itself was beautiful and exceptionally well designed. The bedroom, spacious bathroom with its own steam room, separate living room and private pool area all felt incredibly luxurious, yet warm and peaceful. The private pool was a particular highlight , it felt like a natural extension of the room, creating a wonderful sense of privacy and making the whole villa feel like our own little world. Everything was immaculate and beautifully maintained. The attention to detail throughout the stay was remarkable. Our room was perfectly arranged every day, and the cleanliness of both the villa and pool area was exceptional. Despite being surrounded by nature, we hardly encountered any insects, which was genuinely impressive. The staff were equally wonderful. Every member of the team knew who we were and communicated seamlessly with each other. They were thoughtful and proactive, often anticipating what we might need for our daily plans , even preparing sarongs and towels and making sure they reached our driver before we did. Breakfast and the food were

“Beautiful and serene escape in Ubud”
+This is a beautiful and very serene boutique property with amazing facilities and exceptional service. The villa we stayed in was luxurious and the heated plunge pool was a dream. I love the location just on the edge of Ubud with gorgeous views of the rice fields and the mountains in the distance.
−I loved everything.

+We heard about the chaos of central Ubud, so we opted to stay a little away. This was a great strategy. We started and ended each day at our lovely retreat. I usually only eat bfast at the hotel but it was so good, we ended up eating every dinner at Uma Kalai. Each meal was delicious & special. Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5 Rooms We loved our villa, Earth. We loved that the living room was separate from the bedroom so one person could be up and let the other person sleep. Food and drinks I would say the food was the highlight but it was actually Jun, the butler! One of the highlights of each day was talking to Jun & learning about Balinese food and culture. Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value

“The Best Hotel We Have Ever Stayed At , A Truly Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience”
+The Most Extraordinary Hotel We Have Ever Experienced Uma Kalai was, without a doubt, the best hotel we have ever stayed at in our lives. We were staying here during our honeymoon, and from the very first moment, the entire experience felt incredibly special and completely beyond anything we had experienced before , not only in Indonesia or Asia, but anywhere in the world. From the moment we arrived, every detail had been thought of with extraordinary care. Our villa had been beautifully decorated with flowers, including special floral arrangements on the bed and a bathtub filled with flower petals. It was absolutely breathtaking and made us feel immediately welcomed and celebrated. But what truly makes Uma Kalai exceptional is its staff. They are, without exaggeration, some of the most attentive, kind and genuinely caring people we have ever encountered in a hotel. They constantly went above and beyond to make our stay personal, anticipating our needs and paying attention to the smallest details. What stood out most was that it never felt forced or simply like “good service” , they genuinely cared about making our experience unforgettable. Their warmth, kindness and personalities

“Just perfect!”
+Everything was perfect! The villas are beautiful, the common areas very well landscaped and the view from the common pool is gorgeous. The service was spotless, attentive and warm. We also tried the restaurant and the spa and were amazing. Although the place is not in central Ubud, this is a plus as you won't get stuck in traffic and you get amazing views of the rice fields. Absolutely recommended!
