+Location is fantastic, very unique accommodation.
−Bathroom size is relatively small making it a little difficult to shower but it is manageable

“Fortunately, Utrecht still has what Amsterdam lost long ago: atmosphere!”
+No summer holiday for us this year. To compensate for that, our night in Utrecht had to be something special. Our eye fell on the UKI Hotel. And what a good choice that turned out to be! Within walking distance of both Utrecht Central Station & main museums. Great location on the south side of the Oudegracht. Within the city center ring, yet situated in a quiet spot. With all amenities just around the corner (in terms of dining, nightlife & shopping). Friendly welcome, clear explanation of the facilities in this historic canal-side cellar. Decor as per website. The bench outside completed the picture (admittedly: we had lovely weather during our stay): the mirror-smooth canal, the passing boats, the green trees, the neighborhood. Add to that a bottle of wine (on the house!), some cheese, cocktail sausages, a bag of Maltesers, and some Nibb-It sticks. How simple happiness can sometimes be :-) ! Slept well, sad to leave...till next time ?
−Nothing...but please don't tell anyone...before this place becomes another hipster paradise...

“Unforgettable location in a magical city”
+Amazing stay in a unique location. The bed was large and comfortable, and I had the best sleep of my life in that dark cellar! The facilities are so well thought out given the small space, and it was just as lovely to hang out in as the rest of Ultrecht. We really enjoyed sitting outside with our complimentary drinks watching the world go by. Diana was really helpful and had great recommendations on where to go, and we very much appreciated the offer of checking in early and leaving later.
−There was some drilling from the hotel next door but disruption was kept to a minimum. We were informed of this upon arrival and only heard it on the morning we were checking out anyway.

“Beautiful Utrecht”
+Loved the location, close enough to everything and also far enough away from the noise, it's right on the canal which was lovely to wake up to each morning. The facilities in the property were excellent, the little touches like the soft drinks, water, wine etc the host supplied were a lovely touch, can't fault this place, absolutely loved it.

“Lovely place to take in Utrecht”
+Everything! We love this place, one of our favorite places we stayed during our 4 weeks of traveling this summer. The owner is lovely and has thought of everything. Wine, coffee, recommendations for the area. My husband had to work a few days while we were here and the internet was very good. We loved having coffee or a drink by the canal, slow mornings and relaxing evenings were great watching the boats and paddlers go by.
−If you like privacy, this might not be for you many paddlers or those out walking like to peek in (we liked to leave the door open for the view). We didn't mind this however.
