“A lovely place with attentive staff, well positioned in Bessho.”
+The onsen was good and the staff were friendly, attentive, and could speak English.
−We were in the second wing, which was a bit of a walk. The overall condition looked slightly dated.

+We loved our stay here! The staff were so kind and welcoming, and we really appreciated how warmly our baby was welcomed too. There were lots of thoughtful little touches that made us feel looked after. Our room was spacious and pleasant, and the hotel's onsen was beautiful, relaxing, with a lovely view over the village. Overall, this is exactly the kind of hotel we love :) simple, warm, and unpretentious. It has a wonderful atmosphere and makes it easy to relax and enjoy your holiday. Thank you for a lovely stay!

“Every part of stay was a wonderful and memorable moment.”
+Location in Besshoonsen was so unusual, remote, unique, beautiful and charming. The windows in the rooms opened to a view of the village. We greatly enjoyed sitting in our room drinking tea with the tea set provided. The onsen area was especially unique with indoor and 2 outdoor areas. The water was the perfect temperature. The Staff were fabulous. We chose Half Board with breakfast and dinner. These meals were beautifully prepared with ample amounts to satisfy us. We were able to have vegetarian meals which were ordered in advance. They went out of their way to make amazing and diverse dishes for us. We had an amazing 2 days hiking up the mountains and exploring the fine temples all within walking distance, since we arrived by train. The free shuttle from the station was provided by the wonderful Mr Kano. We thank you all for an amazing time and hope to return some day.
−There are no faults.. Anything that could be considered a fault are the very things that give this Hotel its charm.
