“Fell far short of usual standards in numerous ways”
+I stay here every week and usually find the rooms to be well equipped, clean and in good order
−I book the same room every week for work and specifically pay more for the suite so I can do some work and then unwind for a few hours in the living room area. However, on this occasion I got there to find the TV had been removed from the lounge. The fire in the room was also broken so the room was freezing cold and it later transpired the toilet was blocked and nearly overflowing. I have messaged (Tuesday 27th) but no response.

+Nothing whatsoever Well, I lie the only good thing is it was based in the beautiful Elan Valley
−Where do I start?…… One - the location of the hotel entrance was born on main road 3 foot from a busy bypass where lorries Mount thd kerb to pass each other which results in you have to avoid being squashed against the building! On arrival by the front door you gotta enter a key code in a key code pad which is about 500 years old. To obtain this number you gotta go on your emails because they sent you an email five hours before problem is where the hotel is located. The signal is poor so walk half a mile up the road to get signal to get the code you got to remember the code I advise you screenshot it Then enter the code. You’ve got to press the button really hard for it to work then enter the hallway where you find another key box with a different code. If you don’t have this code you gotta go back up through the main door walk up the street and get a signal and make note of that code and you got to start the procedure again, so remember the codes, et cetera And avoid the lorries. After you gone the hassle of all this you finally get in to the dark dingy room. Where the cream carpet is full of dirt ingrained in and makes looks scruffy you put the lights on and and just bright enoug

“Would not stay again, potential to be really good but sadly not good.”
+Good location, centre of town. Above a bistro which opens for breakfast and lunch and was delicious and good value. The bed was very comfortable.
−Above a bistro which isn’t open evenings in the week (I believe Fridays and Saturdays only). No staff, keys in a key safe which you are directed to. Bathroom had dirty walls (people have literally wiped their noses on the wall), the rail heater didn’t work in the bathroom. Bath taps had 1 broken, shower was either scalding hot or cold and varied between the 2 during a shower. The carpet in the room was dirty and stained. Scaffolding up outside for works taking place, they began work around 8/9am and were walking back and forth in front of bedroom window. Not ideal and we weren’t warned about this.

−Room was 2 star at most, very noisy on road, cracked basin, poorly fitted bathroom floor, old and marked carpet, bathroom fan rattled from outside wind all night, etc. Cafe food quality disappointing on two occasions for breakfast.
