“Not worth the money”
+Comfy bed, nice location right beside trim castle
−The room was freezing, a card for our room didn’t work multiple times so had to keep going to reception. We order room service on the first morning both got full Irish breakfasts one came with beans then other didn’t which was disappointing. The staff were quiet rude other then the housekeeper we walked past she was lovely said good morning to us. But even the breakfast staff on the Friday morning just came across a bit stuck up, I asked for pancakes with Nutella and strawberries for breakfast and some hash browns on the side. The response from the waitress was “eh actually we don’t have any hash browns”. I just thought the response could be been nicer. I also think the room was definitely not worth the money we spent, there were refurbishment being done which is fine but we had been to a wedding on the Wednesday and being woken up at 8am by loud banging and drilling wasn’t ideal, and it went on the whole day! Then Thursday night there was a wedding right underneath our room music went on until 3am it was very loud. I just felt like we had worked hard and saved up for a nice trip away and it wasn’t worth the money we paid. Just a bit disappointing.

“Very disappointing.”
+Location was perfect. Onsite underground parking was great.
−The condition of the property was unbelievably bad. This hotel had not been updated since it was built over 20 years ago. The carpeting every where, both in rooms and in common areas was filthy, stained, ripped, poorly patched. Furniture was old and worn and damaged. Just everything about this hotel was in pretty shocking worn out, tired, shabby disrepair. The building itself looks nice from but the inside is a wreck. It needs a complete gut job and redo.

+We are both vegan and informed the hotel before our arrival. At breakfast we were provided an Irish breakfast with plant based sausages and all the veggie trimmings. All the staff were lovely and attentive,
−At breakfast there was no plant based butter, yogurt, or pastry options. There is a cafeteria 2 minutes walk away from the hotel that sell plant based croissants, so it would have been nice if the hotel made the effort to provide them for us.

“Amazing views, stunning hotel”
+There was a free for residents car park underneath the hotel with a lift straight to reception which was very handy. The hotel was bright and beautifully decorated. The ladies loos smelled amazing! We had food at the restaurant in the hotel and it was delicious. The views from the bar and our bedroom were straight across to Trim Castle which was also very lovely.
−Nothing.
