“We had an amazing time and appreciate the wonderful hospitality!”
+It was absolutely beautiful and had a free shuttle to Ghibli Park which was perfect for us. The private onsen was very nice and they even gave us tickets for an Onsen near by. We only wish we got to the property earlier so we could have enjoyed more of the amenities. The food was incredible and so was the room! We really appreciate the kindness of the staff as well.
−There was nothing we didn’t like! It was a great experience and value!

+The room was very nice - a spacious onsen on the balcony, quite a big tatami area, facilities were very nice. The staff was extremely polite and helpful (and we really needed it, see below)!
−The location is difficult indeed: it is in the middle of nowhere. On the way to the hotel we tried to use trains as much as we could, but at the closest train station there was no taxi at all - and we have called 3 services listed on the station board! Only hotel receptionist managed to get us a taxi, thanks them for calling us checking on our arrival time. On the way back we tried to use the free transfer - it is 30m transfer on old-school bus to a train station 30m from Nagoya station, but we managed to survive only from hotel to Ghibli park because our daughter was getting motion sick. Only traditional food: we were told there are western style options for kids, but it was true only for the dinner - for breakfast we got 3 fully traditional breakfast sets. In general it feelds like a nice secluded location but quite overpriced.

+We stayed only one night. We paid extra for a full kaiseki style meal in the evening. It was expensive but well worth the price as a treat. The breakfast the following morning was included and also delicious. We went knowing there was limited english, but we did not struggle to communicate.
